(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Mr. Jiang Junfeng Sentenced to a Five Year Prison Term

Mr. Jiang Junfeng was arrested on November 25, 2015, by officers from the Weidong District Police Station, and taken to the Jia County Detention Center. He was tried in Weidong District Court on May 17, 2016, and sentenced to a five year prison term on August 31, 2016.

2. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Yifei Sentenced to a Six Year Prison Term

Ms. Liu Yifei was arrested on the evening of December 31, 2016, by officers from the Qinggonglu Police Station. He was tried in Zhanhe District Court on May 18, 2016, and sentenced to a six year prison term on August 12, 2016.

3. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yuan Chunli Detained

Ms. Yuan Chunli was ordered to come to the Nanxiaoqu Police Station on the afternoon of September 18, 2016. Upon her arrival she was arrested and taken to a prison.

4. [Xuancheng City, Anhui Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Aizhu was arrested on the afternoon of September 7, 2016, by officers from the Xuancheng City Domestic Security Division and Chengjiang Police Station. Her Falun Gong books and materials were confiscated. She was taken to the Xuancheng City Detention Center. Family visits have been denied.

Ms. Tong Xiuyuan was arrested on August 29, 2016. She was taken to the Xuancheng City Detention Center.

5. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhou Wei and Wife Arrested

Mr. Zhou Wei and his wife were arrested before dawn on September 19, 2016, by plainclothes officers.

6. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wan Mingying Detained

Ms. Wan Mingying was arrested and taken to the Hanlin Detention Center.

7. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Xunfen Detained

Ms. Zhang Xunfen was arrested on the morning of August 15, 2016, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Guanghan Detention Center.

8. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yanfeng and Ms. Xia Dongmei were arrested on the morning of September 15, 2016, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

9. [Tongyu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yuqin's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yin Li and her mother Ms. Liu Yuqin were arrested on October 21, 2015. Ms. Liu was released on bail. Ms. Yi was sentenced to a one year prison term in April 2016, and is incarcerated in the Baicheng City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was arrested when visiting Ms. Yin on September 13, 2016. She was taken to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison the next day. However, her present whereabouts are unknown.
