A Suggestion for the Wording of Parade Banners

Oct. 16, 2016 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner outside of China

(Minghui.org) There are many Falun Dafa parades outside of China that have banners saying, “The CCP is Doomed by Heaven!” or, “The CCP is Being Dissolved!” Onlookers might find these phrases hard to comprehend. Our banners should help people understand what Falun Dafa is and why they should quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

When practitioners talk to people about the persecution of Falun Dafa, they often encounter the same misunderstanding: people assume that we see the CCP as our enemy because the CCP is persecuting us. When we ask them to quit the Party, they may think that our aim is political when it's actually for saving them. This misunderstanding can present a huge obstacle.

Phrases such as, “the CCP is doomed by Heaven,” can also make people think that practitioners are against the CCP. For example, a Chinese tourist once asked a practitioner why they should quit the Party. When the response was, “The CCP is doomed by Heaven,” the tourist immediately walked away.

Even after being influenced by the CCP's atheist ideologies for over 60 years, many Chinese know that the Buddha School teachings are good. However, they may not be aware that Dafa practitioners are also cultivating in the Buddha School. If we told them about this they may treat practitioners better, which would be good for them.

I would like to suggest a couple of examples of banner wording that may help Chinese people understand this point: “Good Deeds Are Rewarded; Bad Deeds Are Met with Bad Returns,” and, “Please Choose Kindness and Quit the Party to Stay Safe.”

This is my understanding at my level of cultivation.
