1. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced

Four practitioners were sentenced by legal staff from the Maonan District Court on September 29, 2016. The trials were held in the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center.

Mr. Mai Zhizhong was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan, Mr. Ke Zhengji to six years in prison and fined 15,000 yuan, Ms. Xie Yilan to five years and fined 10,000 yuan, and Ms. Li Suming was sentenced to three years and fined 5,000 yuan.

2. [Jiedong City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Zhuangkai and Ms. Xu Ruiping Sentenced

Mr. Yang Zhuangkai and Ms. Xu Ruiping were sentenced by the Jiedong District Court on September 21, 2016. Mr. Yang was sentenced to five years in prison and Ms. Xu to ten years. Both have appealed.

3. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Sentenced

Four practitioners were recently sentenced by the Changping District Court in Beijing. Mr. Hu Weixue was sentenced to four years in prison, Mr. Chen Junjie and Ms. Yuan Wen to three-years-and-six months each, and Mr. Che Yong to three years.

4. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Qiuju Sentenced

Ms. Wang Qiuju was tried by the Dezhou Court in August 2016 and sentenced to a three-year prison term. She was arrested by officers from the Shiliwang Police Station on May 28, 2015, and held in the Dezhou City Detention Center.

5. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xie Baofeng and Ms. Li Guixia Arrested

Ms. Xie Baofeng and Ms. Li Guixia were arrested on September 30, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Ren Shouzhi, Mr. Xu Jingyang, Ms. Yuan Shufen, and Ms. Yin Guiqing were arrested by officers from the Jidong County Police Department on September 29, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Ren and Mr. Xu are being held in the Jidong Detention Center, and Ms. Yuan in the Jixi Detention Center. Ms. Yin, who is in her seventies, was later released after officials extorted 50,000 yuan from her son.

7. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Tianliu Arrested

Ms. Yang Tianliu was arrested on September 29, 2016.

8. [Tianjin] Ms. Ma Fengrong Arrested

Ms. Ma Fengrong was arrested and taken to the Banchanglu Police Station on September 29, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

9. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhiyu Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhiyu was arrested by officers from the Chujia Police Station on September 28, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

10. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Huiliang Detained

Mr. Xie Huiliang was arrested, and his home was ransacked by officers from the Jiedong District Police Department and Yunlu Police Station on September 27, 2016. He is held in the Jiedong Detention Center. His wife, Ms. Xie Xizhu, left her home to avoid further persecution.

11. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ping and Ms. Ma Sumei Detained

Ms. Wang Ping and his wife Ms. Ma Sumei were arrested on September 27, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held in the Binzhou City Detention Center.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Shi Huiyuan Detained

Ms. Shi Huiyuan was arrested on August 31, 2016. She is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

13. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiumei Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiumei, 68, was arrested by officers from the Liyuan Police Station on September 6, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Jimo Detention Center.

14. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yu Meirong, Ms. Zhu Wenfan, and Ms. Yang Xiaoqin were arrested in March 2016. Ms. Yu was recently sentenced to a three-year prison term. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Yang are still held in the Jining City Detention Center.

15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Lihua Facing Trial

Ms. Feng Lihua was arrested by officers from the Beizhai Police Station on February 3, 2016. She is being held in the Qingdao City No. 3 Detention Center. She was recently prosecuted by the Laoshan Procuratorate.

16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Ms. Zhang Hongru, Ms. Li Xiujun, and Ms. Wang Jin were arrested by officers from the Jinmenlu Police Station on May 9, 2015. They are being held in the Qingdao City No. 3 Detention Center and were recently tried by the Shinan District Court.

17. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Shujie Arrested

Ms. Li Shujie, 69, was arrested by officers from the Lindong Town Police Station on September 24, 2016. She was given a 15 day detention and fined 1,000 yuan. She was taken to a hospital because she had developed acute heart pain, had difficulty speaking, and could not move. She was found to have a high blood pressure and was released that evening.

18. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Pu Shuiting and Ms. Tan Arrested

Ms. Pu Shuiting and Ms. Tan, both 70, were arrested by officers from the Fuyuan Road Police Station on September 21, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong, and were later released.

Mr. Tang Sizhi was arrested by officers from the Renhe Town Police Station on September 1, 2016, and taken to the Zhumadian City Detention Center.
