(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 were illegally arrested.

1. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Wenchuan and Ms. Guo Yuqiong Arrested

Mr. Zhou Wenchuan and Ms. Guo Yuqiong were arrested by officers from Huagai Town when they talked to people about Falun Gong in that town on the morning of September 16, 2016. Their current situation is unknown.

2. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yan Jiahuai and Wife Ms. Liu Wenying Detained

Mr. Yan Jiahuai and his wife Ms. Liu Wenying, from Honglan Township, Lishui District, were arrested and taken to the police station when they posted messages with the words “Falun Dafa is Good” on September 14, 2016. Ms. Liu was beaten by the police. Mr. Yan was taken to the Lishui District Detention Center. Ms. Liu was taken to the Nanjing City Detention Center.

3. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Chunying Detained

Ms. Wang Chunying was arrested by officers from the Shundian Town Police Station on the afternoon of September 14, 2016. She was taken to the Xuchang City Detention Center.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Shichun Arrested

Ms. Liu Shichun, from Yaotun Village, Yonghe Village, Taiping Town, was arrested by officers from the Taiping Town Police Station on the evening of September 13, 2016 for distributing Falun Gong materials.

5. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Yulan Arrested

Ms. Yang Yulan was reported by the Jindu security guards when talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 13, 2016. She was arrested and taken to the Luofeng Police Station by a 110 (911 emergency) Response Unit. She was released that day.

6. [Jintang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Yan Arrested

Ms. Tang Yan was arrested at home by officers from the Shuicheng Police Station on the afternoon of September 12, 2016.

7. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Jin Juxia Arrested

Ms. Jin Juxia, from Baliyao Village, Qilihe District, was arrested by officers from the Lanzhou City Police Department No. 26 Division on September 11, 2016.

8. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Yuelian Detained

Ms. Zhou Yuelian was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Lanzhou Police Department on the morning of September 11, 2016. She was detained over 30 hours in the police department. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, and some electronic storage devices. The officers also impounded a passenger car (QQ brand), a pickup truck, and another car (Baojun brand) borrowed from her friend.

9. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Kun Detained

Mr. Sun Kun was arrested when he distributed Falun Gong materials at the Yongning Farmers Market on the morning of September 11, 2016. He is being held in the Wafangdian Detention Center.

10. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Jiang He Arrested

Mr. Jiang He, an employee at the Huafeng Factory in Xiaohe District, was arrested by officers from the Changjiang Police Station and Community staff on the afternoon of September 1, 2016. The officers ransacked his home for two hours. Mr. Jiang's current whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Xiyu and Ms. Zhou Yinfang Arrested

Ms. Li Xiyu and Ms. Zhou Yinfang were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in Wanshui Township, Linwu County, on September 14, 2016. Ms. Zhou was released the following day. Ms. Li returned home five days later.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qiao Xin and Ms. Yi Huimin Detained

Ms. Qiao Xin and Ms. Yi Huimin were arrested at home recently. They are being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

13. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Hu Baohui Detained

Ms. Hu Baohui was arrested recently. She was held in the Nanyang City Detention Center.

14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Shuang'e Missing for 14 Years

Ms. Hu Shuang'e, 64, from Huangjiadun Community, Jiang'an District, went out to distribute Falun Gong materials in 2002. She has not returned home since. It has been 14 years since anyone has heard anything about her.

15. [Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yingtong Suffers From Hemiplegia

Ms. Zhang Yingtong developed hemiplegia due to abuse she endured in prison. She was transferred from the Tangshan Union Hospital to the Patient Section in the Jidong Prison's No. 5 Ward. Her family requested that she be released on medical parole, which was denied by the prison authorities.

16. [Gucheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiuming's Physical Condition Deteriorating in Detention Center

Ms. Liu Xiuming, who was held in the Hengshui City Detention Center, developed high blood pressure, which reached 220. Her physical condition is worrisome.

17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Eight Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Jin Shinan, Mr. Zeng Xianzhi, Mr. Sun Ruijie, and Ms. Wu Lianzhen were each sentenced to seven years in prison.

Mr. Sun Zuowei was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.

Ms. Zeng Xiuxiang was sentenced to two years in prison, with three years of probation.

Mr. Li Zhiqiang and Ms. Sun Xiujuan were each sentenced to a year in prison, with two years of probation. Both practitioners were fined 10,000 yuan.

18. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tong Jiang and Mr. Zou Guoping Tortured in Prison

Mr. Tong Jiang was arrested in September 2013. He was given a four-year prison term in February 2014. He has been forced to do slave labor in the Jiazhou Prison's No. 5 Ward. He is subjected to various sorts of physical punishment when he fails to meet his daily quota.

Mr. Zou Guoping from Meishan City was sentenced to five years in prison in April 2015. He is being held in the Jiazhou Prison's No. 5 Ward. He suffers from various forms of torture there, including: standing straight like a soldier for a long period of time, wearing a helmet, being lifted off the floor with both hands handcuffed behind his back, having his mouth pried open with a straining rope. This has inflicted significant physical and mental suffering on him.

19. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Defen and Ms. Ju Detained

Ms. Liu Defen and Ms. Ju from Shijingshan District were arrested by officers from the Bajiao Police Station on March 10, 2015. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners were taken to the Shijingshan Detention Center. So far, no one has heard about their situation.

Mr. Fang Kuanfeng was arrested on March 22, 2016. He will be put on trial on September 22, 2016 by the Zhangdian District Court. He is being held in the Zibo City Detention Center.
