(Minghui.org) British Falun Gong practitioners held a rally and a march in London on October 1 to raise awareness of state-sanctioned organ harvesting atrocities in China. Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience are routinely killed for their organs in China’s vast illicit organ trade.
The rally received great support from the public. Many people condemned the atrocities and signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution and organ harvesting in China.
The rally was held in front of the Chinese Embassy. It focused on stopping the persecution of Falun Gong and organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as bringing former Party leader Jiang Zemin to justice. They called for everyone to join the efforts to end the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Falun Gong practitioners hold a march in London on October 1, 2016.
The march began at the Chinese Embassy, passing through downtown along Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, and Chinatown, ending at Trafalgar Square. Practitioners distributed flyers and received great support from spectators along the way.
Crowds of people on the streets before the start of a football game were attracted to the colorful Falun Gong march.
Huge banners read “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong,” “Stop CCP Organ Harvesting from Living Falun Gong Practitioners,” and “Bring Jiang to Justice” in both Chinese and English. Peaceful music was played throughout the parade.
A man named Lee said, “More people should know about it. It's great your march happens to coincide with our football activities. There are so many people out on the streets.”
After the march, an exercise demonstration and truth-clarification activities were held on Trafalgar Square for five hours.
Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) designated October 1st as International Day Against Forced Organ Harvesting, so raising awareness of organ harvesting activities was front and center.
Locals and visitors from all over the world had the opportunity to learn about Falun Gong and the persecution at this famous tourist spot.
