Six Arrested While Reading Falun Gong Books in a Practitioner’s Home

(Minghui.org) People are still being arrested in China for practicing Falun Gong.

More than 10 officers from the Lutai Town Police Station inTianjin’s Ninghe District broke into Ms. Yin Lianhua's home on October 18, 2016. They arrested Ms. Yin and five other Falun Gong practitioners. They were reading a Falun Gong book together at the time.

Mr. Chou Chengfu, Ms. Yin's husband, was ill in bed in another room. He was vomiting, had diarrhea, and was too weak to get up. The police even attempted to arrest him. One officer poured water on his face and body, but was still unable to get him out of bed.

The police ransacked Ms. Yin's home and confiscated cellphones, personal belongings, and over 40 Falun Gong books. The officers left around midnight.

The five others arrested are Ms. Yu Wenxiu, Ms. He Jing, Ms. Wang Shumin, Ms. Chen Yuling, and Ms. Xu Guitai.

The police ransacked Ms. Yu's home the next day and confiscated over 10,000 yuan worth of banknotes with Falun Gong truth-clarification messages written on them.

The six are still detained.
