Nov. 18, 2016 |   By a Minghui corespondent in Beijing, China

(Minghui.org) For practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Mao Fenglan has been incarcerated in forced labor camps twice for a total of more than four years. She has also been detained in a brainwashing center and harassed by police on multiple occasions.

Ms. Mao, 60, was again arrested at her home by officers from the Shibalidian Police Station on July 21, 2016. Officers ransacked her home without a search warrant and confiscated Falun Gong books, a printer, computer, tens of thousands of yuan in cash, and other belongings.

She has since been held at Chaoyang Detention Center.

Ms. Mao's attorney submitted a Written Opinion to Modify Compulsory Measures to the Chaoyang District Procuratorate on November 3, 2016, asking them not to prosecute Ms. Mao and release her.

Four days later, on November 7, the Chaoyang District Procuratorate returned Ms. Mao's case to the Chaoyang Police Department for insufficient evidence. Ms. Mao's attorney was notified that her case would be postponed for two weeks.
