Keeping Dafa in Mind and Saving People

Nov. 22, 2016 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Heilongjiang Province, China

(Minghui.org) I was so lucky to have started practicing Falun Dafa early in 1994. Before, I had a strong desire to prevail over others and easily lost my temper. I often quarreled with customers, so my bonus was deducted every month. I got angry just about every day. My anger brought on many ailments including uremia, heart disease, and cardiac neurosis. Each day for me was like a year.

After I practiced Falun Dafa, I disciplined myself according to Dafa principles and corrected my language and behavior. My illnesses soon disappeared, and I felt light all over. I was honored as a model worker for my excellent performance.

In the past 22 years on my path of cultivation, I have been given hints and protected by compassionate Master, who turned me from a human being filled with karma into a Dafa practitioner admired by all the beings in the universe.

No words can express my gratitude for Master's grace. The only thing I can do is to do three things well.

These years, I spend my time telling people the facts about Falun Gong, persuading them to quit the CCP, and saving them. I study the Fa in the morning and tell people the facts about Falun Gong in the afternoon.

I am not moved by people's attitude toward me and keep smiling all the time. Every day I am able to persuade many people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Persuading Tenants to Quit the CCP

I own a very big apartment that is close to a university. For years I rented it out to university students for a very low price and provide facilities for their daily needs. I do not charge them rent during their vacations. They called me “aunt” and say to me, “You are really different from other people.”

I tell them the facts about Falun Gong and persuade them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. They all like reading the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. When they know the facts, they tell me, “We will not join the Chinese Communist Party.”

I often talk with them. They ask me questions and I help them with their dilemmas. The students who graduate introduce other students, who in turn will hear about Dafa.

Persuading People to Quit the CCP in a Residential Community

There is a supermarket next to my home. I take every opportunity to tell people the facts about Falun Gong and persuade them to quit the CCP.

I give drivers materials while they wait at traffic lights. Some ask me, “Any new material available?” I show them my bag and ask them to pick out the materials they want. Most remind me to be watchful and stay safe.

Sometimes I encounter people who refused to take materials or throw them out the window. I pick up the materials and don't feel angry, just regret for their actions.

One time I persuaded an older man to quit the CCP. He said that someone had helped him quit the CCP in Beijing. He told me that Falun Gong practitioners there were persecuted and their homes were ransacked. He said that the police were like bandits.

After walking away about 30 meters, he came back and reminded me to stay safe. “I forgot to tell you. Be careful and stay safe. Police all over China are the same. They are very bad.”

Clarifying the Truth in a Tough Environment

Arrested for Distributing Falun Gong Materials

Someone reported me to the police on October 9, 2014 while I was clarifying the truth. I was arrested and taken to the police station. They ransacked my home and confiscated many Dafa books and materials, as well as 20,000 yuan in bank notes.

At the police station, a policeman named Yu slapped me in the face and struck me in the lower back. He kicked me and shouted, “I am not afraid of karmic retribution. It's not a crime to beat Falun Gong practitioners to death. Falun Gong practice is allowed in any other country, but not in China. What could you possibly do?”

He handcuffed me to an iron chair. I kept telling them the facts about Falun Gong, but it fell on deaf ears. The police took me to a detention center at midnight. On the way, they threatened me. “We will keep you in jail. You will be sentenced to eight or ten years.”

I was not moved at all and said, “You do not have the right to decide. My Master has the final say.”

Looking Inside to Identify Loopholes

Guards at the detention center attempted to take a blood sample from me. When I would not let them to take it, they punched and kicked me, and put me in a cell.

I couldn't fall asleep at night and looked inside to identify my loopholes. I thought about what had happened the previous day.

I was so shocked to find so many attachments. I had a strong attachment to myself and liked to hear good things said about me. When I disagreed with another practitioner's suggestion about where to go to clarify the truth, I was upset, even though I eventually went with her.

When a migrant worker asked me for books after quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, I gave him two copies of Minghui magazine. Another practitioner said that I had wasted Dafa materials. I was not happy after hearing those words.

On our way back home, we saw a police car coming toward us, passing by, and coming back again. I told the practitioner to go east while I went south. The police followed and arrested me.

I suddenly found the problem: I had created a gap between me and the other practitioner, which was taken advantage of by the evil.

I prayed to Master in my heart. “Master, your disciple shouldn't stay here even if she has loopholes. I must get out of here within ten days.”

At that moment I felt Master beside me, who said, “Ten days is too long.”

Clarifying the Truth to Inmates and Police in Detention

I sent forth righteous thoughts every day while I was detained. I looked inside to identify my problems, and told inmates the facts about Falun Gong and persuaded them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. In the first three days, all the inmates in my cell agreed to quit the CCP.

On the fourth day, the superintendent and a policeman named Peng called me to her office. I took it as an opportunity to tell them the facts.

I refused to eat or wear a uniform in the detention center. They tried to make me eat and put on the prisoner uniform, but I refused.

The superintendent brought in shackles that were used on death row inmates. “Are you afraid of being shackled?” the superintendent said.

“Not at all,” I said, “because I am not guilty of anything.”

I told them that our Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong, teaches us to follow the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” and become good people. I also explained to them the Tiananmen self-immolation hoax staged by Jiang's regime.

I suggested that they treat Falun Dafa practitioners well, so as to leave a way out for themselves and bring blessings to their families.

Policeman Peng asked me, “If I bring you food from my home, would you eat it?” I told her that I would not.

Not Moved by External Elements

The following day Peng really did bring food from her home—eggs, cakes, steamed stuffed buns, and a box of cookies. I refused to eat her food.

She got angry and tried to grab me, but her arms were not able to move. On the sixth day, she kicked me in the back, but her own back pain started flaring up. After that, she left me alone.

On the seventh day, I showed symptom of a stroke. “My arms are numb,” I said.

They called the jail doctors to test my eyes and feet, and they took me to a hospital for examinations. The results showed an acute brain ailment. They handcuffed me to a bed and gave me injections.

I talked to Master in my heart, “Master, please take the medicine out if they gave me any.” Sure enough, the injections didn't go in.

At approximately five o'clock, the superintendent from the detention center came to the hospital. “I just asked your family to take you home. If we take you back to your cell now, you will not be able to go back home. Officials from the police station won't let you go because they searched and found too many Falun Gong materials at your home.”

Continuing to Tell Police the Facts about Falun Gong after Being Released

My oldest daughter and husband took me back home on October 16, seven days after I was arrested.

Less than five minutes after we got home, police officers arrived. They asked me to sign a document to acknowledge my release from custody and report to them three times a week. I refused.

They had local police officers and officials from the residential community harass me every day. I sent forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the rotten demons that controlled them.

When police officers found that the doorbell for my floor was not working, they rang the doorbells on other floors instead to enter the building. I had to stop them from disturbing my neighbors, so I decided to go to the police station to tell them the facts and save them.

A deputy superintendent left his business card on my door, so I went straight to him after sending forth righteous thoughts for a whole night.

He took me to a reception room, where I told him what had happened to me. “Police officers ransacked my home and took away 20,000 yuan in bank notes.”

I persuaded him to treat Falun Gong practitioners nicely. “We Falun Gong practitioners are all good people and don't break the law. We will not bring you trouble, either. You should be nice to Falun Gong and leave a way out for yourself. Your family will be blessed for your good deeds.”

In the end I delivered a clear message, “You are not the person who is in charge of me. I have my Master to take care of me. Do not come to my home any more. You should distinguish good from evil.”

Since then they have not harassed me again.

The above is my personal sharing and I hope that it can be helpful to fellow practitioners. Let's encourage each other and practice cultivation diligently together.
