Practitioner in Jiangsu Detained for More Than a Year and Denied Family Visits

(Minghui.org) Mr. Song Jiaen was arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong and has been held in the Qingkou Detention Center since June 18, 2015. His family has not been allowed to see him for over a year.

Mr. Song and three other Falun Gong practitioners went to the trial of practitioner Mr. Yu Bing on June 4, 2015. Mr. Song talked to people inside the courtroom about the practice and was arrested right after the trial.

Officers from the Domestic Security Division and Ganyu County 610 Office also went to Mr. Song's home in Ganyu, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, and ransacked it.

Mr. Song's wife has to take care of her 90-year-old bedridden father-in-law and his daughter.

Persecuted Since 1999

Mr. Song has been illegally arrested three times since the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999.

He was first arrested in 2001 and held in the Dafengfangqian Forced Labor Camp in Yancheng City for one year.

He was arrested again in June 2008 and held in the Qingkou Detention Center in Ganyu County.

He was sentenced to four years in Hongzehu Prison in Sihong County in 2009.
