(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 28 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Dongying Detained for 30 Days

Ms. Wang Dongying from Shanghai was arrested by officers from the Rudong County Police Department in Jiangsu Province and the 610 Office on November 18, 2016. She was taken to the police department. She was given 30 days of detention and taken to the Nantong City Detention Center on November 23.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Yulan and Ms. Ma Xianyun from Bairin Left Banner were arrested by officers from the Lindong Town Police Station on December 2, 2016 for passing out desk calendars containing Falun Gong information. Ms. Wang was held in the Bairin Left Banner Detention Center for ten days of detention. Ms. Ma was released that afternoon due to high blood pressure.

Mr. Chi Hailong, 60, was arrested by five officers from the Biliutai Town Police Station on December 2, 2016 for passing out calendars at the Biliutai Town Farmers Market. He was taken to the Bairin Left Banner Police Department's Domestic Security Division. His tricycle was confiscated. He was held in the Bairin Left Banner Detention Center for ten days of detention.

3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. She Changmin Detained

Ms. She Changmin from Shijinggou Village, Fengman District, was arrested at home by officers from the Fengman District Police Department's State Security Division and the Dachangtun Police Station on November 30, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She is held in the Jilin City Detention Center.

4. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Jinglan Arrested

Ms. Ma Jinglan was arrested by officers from the Cuiping Police Station on the morning of December 2, 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong informational materials. She was released that day.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Twelve Practitioners Arrested

Nine practitioners were arrested on December 2, 2016, when they were reading Falun Gong books. They are: Mr. Jin Yongxin, Ms. Bian Lixun, Mr. Jin Jianxin, Mr. Jin Jianxin's wife, Ms. Li Peili, Mr. Wang Chenghao, Mr. Wang Yumin, Ms. Li, and Ms. Xu.

Officers from the Qingdao City Police Department, the Shibei District Police Department, and the Fuxin Police Station made the arrest.

Mr. Wang, his wife Ms. Lu, and Ms. Lin, from Licunnan Village, Licang District, were arrested on the same day by officers from the Fushan Road Police Station.

Mr. Jin Yongxin and Ms. Bian Lixun were taken to the Podong Detention Center. Mr. Wang and his wife Ms. Lu were detained. The whereabouts of Mr. Wang Yumin and Ms. Xu are unknown. The other practitioners were released.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhao and Ms. Li Taken Into Custody

Ms. Zhao and Ms. Li from Huadu District were arrested and their homes ransacked by officers from the Huado District Domestic Security Division on November 26, 2016. Both practitioners are held in the Huadu Police Department.

7. [Xianghe County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhu Xiaomei and Ms. Zhao Yuxiang Arrested

Ms. Zhu Xiaomei from Wangjiabai Village, Anping Town, was arrested at home by local police officers on the evening of November 29, 2016. She was taken to the Sanhe City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Yuxiang from Wangzhihuizhuang Village, Anping Town, was arrested in October 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Longhua County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Hongwen Imprisoned

Mr. Li Hongwen was given a four-year prison term. He has been taken to the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City.

9. [Cheng'an County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuangqin and Ms. Li Yunling Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuangqin, 59, and Ms. Li Yunling, 60, from Daodongbao Township, were arrested by the local police officers on the morning of November 24, 2016 for passing out calendars that contain information about Falun Gong. Their tricycle was confiscated. They were interrogated by Jia Xiaojie, head of the Domestic Security Division, and Li Xiaobin, director of the police station. They were forced to sign paperwork, do fingerprinting, and write guarantee statements to renounce Falun Gong. Both practitioners were released after each were extorted 1,000 yuan.

10. [Taoyuan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Luo Qing and Ms. Luo Xiaolan Arrested

Ms. Luo Qing, 78, and Ms. Luo Xiaolan, 58, were arrested at home by officers from the Taoyuan County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on December 2, 2016.

11. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Ma Junwen Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Ma Junwen was arrested at work on November 25, 2016. He was taken to a brainwashing facility at the Academic Exchange Center of the Xiangtan University of Science and Technology.

12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Meishuang Detained

Ms. Liu Meishuang from Tianxin District was arrested by officers from the Xinkaipu Police Station on the evening of December 1, 2016. The officers confiscated a computer and three printers. Ms. Liu is held in the Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center.

13. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Zhimin Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Zhimin was recently sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

14. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Zhenxiang Detained

Mr. Zhang Zhenxiang was arrested on November 16, 2016. He was transferred to the Lingyuan City Detention Center on November 25.

15. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yao Cuixiang and Ms. Cui Jing Detained

Ms. Yao Cuixiang and Ms. Cui Jing were arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station in Fumeng County on November 20, 2016 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Cui was released after 10 days of detention. Ms. Yao is still held at the Xindi Detention Center.

16. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Yingliang Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Liu Yingliang from Wansheng District was arrested by officials from the Wansheng District Board of Education, and administrative personnel from the Wansheng Neighborhood and the Jianshe Community on December 2, 2016. Mr. Liu's home was ransacked. He is held in the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center.

17. [Chongqing] Mr. Duan Fanghe Arrested

Mr. Duan Fanghe, 71, was arrested in November 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Two Female Practitioners Detained

Two female practitioners, Xiaoyan and Xiaoli, were arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station on November 27, 2016. Both practitioners were held in the police station for 15 days of detention. They went on a hunger strike for six days to protest the illegal detention.
