Clarifying the Facts about Falun Dafa at Rural Farmer's Markets

Dec. 4, 2016 |   By a Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) Practitioners from our county capital formed a group this July that went to rural farmer's markets to distribute truth clarifying materials, talked to people about Falun Dafa, and persuaded people to give up their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

We had local practitioners do a lot of advance work, preparing flyers, journals, desk calendars, and amulets and placing them in sealed bags. We also arranged to send righteous thoughts to clear the field and strengthen fellow practitioners who would talk face-to-face with people at the farmer's markets about the persecution of Falun Dafa.

In half a day, we helped over 100 people to quit the CCP at small farmer's markets and helped around 300 people to quit at larger farmer's markets.

We collaborated well and assigned practitioners to distribute flyers, talk to people about Falun Dafa, and record people's names and contact information. It sometimes took only one or two minutes to do these things.

Before giving out informational desktop calendars, flyers, and amulets, we first told people about Falun Dafa and explained why it is important for them to quit the CCP organizations. We also indicated that they could read the flyers and the calendars later.

We primarily traveled to these places by bus, which took over an hour one way. Early in the day, there were only the vendors and a few shoppers, and we sometimes worried that we had brought too many materials. But the markets got busy within an hour.

Everyone did the tasks they were assigned, stayed busy, worked in an orderly way, and tried not to miss any people that seemed to have predestined relationships. We usually finished in two to three hours.

We came to realize that the groups of people that Master had arranged for us to meet were eager to learn the facts, accept informational materials, and quit the CCP.

We regretted that we hadn't brought along more materials and that we hadn't come to these markets sooner.

We had to visit the larger markets two or three times to talk to most of the people. The practitioners with vehicles drove us to the big markets, since we couldn't carry enough informational materials on the bus.

One time, we talked with a retired deputy director of the town. After he quit the CCP, we gave him one of the calendars with information about Falun Dafa. He left, but soon returned and said, “Someone grabbed the calendar you gave me, so I'm back to get another one. It was so nice. It must have cost a few yuan, and you have distributed so many. Where do you get the money from?”

We explained, “It is from our own pockets. We do this to save people.”

He remarked, “Nowadays, people are driven by profits. Who else would use their own money to give away calendars? It is remarkable that Falun Dafa practitioners do this. I admire you from the bottom of my heart.”

Before we departed for the rural markets, there was often interference like inclement weather or practitioners being out of town on business trips. When we all sent righteous thoughts, the interference was eliminated and every trip went smoothly.

In the last three months, we have been to rural markets 15 times, and have helped at least 3,000 people quit the CCP. At the same time, our personal cultivation has improved.

At the beginning, the crowds at the market could be quite dense so we explained the facts to people nearby and then moved on to the next person. In this way we gave up the attachment to choosing who we would talk to. Our compassion grew, and the people we interacted with were very nice to us.

We tried to let go of the attachment of fear. In the beginning, we were all afraid to talk face to face with people about Falun Dafa. Gradually, when we saw that people were eager to be saved, our fears disappeared. We only thought about saving others.

We also noticed that our sense of responsibility increased when we went to farmer's markets in the remote mountainous areas and found that people had not heard the facts about Falun Dafa. We realized that if we hadn't gone to such places, the people wouldn't have had the chance to learn the facts.

Clarifying the facts is our responsibility, and we have no regrets. Therefore, we should cherish the time that Master has extended for us and the opportunity to do the three things that Dafa practitioners should do.

Finally, looking within was very important because we also encountered people who misunderstood us. None of us felt angry, but instead looked within and realized that they would not have been poisoned by the lies of the evil Party if we had come earlier.

We strive to be compassionate to people and explain all the lies that have been spread by the CCP.

When people understand the facts, it is quite natural for them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. This tells us that, as long as we continue to look inward, sentient beings will change.

We would like to remind fellow practitioners that it is not difficult to step forward to clarify the truth to people in the countryside.
