May 7, 2016 |   By Minghui correspondent in Beijing

(Minghui.org) The Huairou District 610 Office coordinated with the Beijing police, and arrested eight female Falun Gong practitioners on April 20, 2016. These women had all filed criminal complaints against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999 and directing it since then.

All the arrests took place on April 20. Details regarding three of the arrests are as follows:

Ms. Liu Jiying, 64, was arrested at home during the early morning hours. She was later transferred to Chaoyang No. 1 Detention Center. Police confiscated from her home a laptop, a printer and other personal belongings. Because she practices Falun Gong, Ms. Liu had spent eight years in prison – from 2001 to 2008. After her release, Ms. Liu lived with her elderly mother as her primary caretaker.

Ms. Jiang Mengmei, 54, was also arrested by police at Huairou’s Kangyide Hospital, where Ms. Jiang was taking care of her mother. The police also searched for Ms. Jiang’s younger sister Jiang Xiaoping, but did not find her. The frustrated police instead took Jiang Xiaoping’s husband and older son, even though they are not practitioners.

Two officers went to Ms. Liang Heping’s home. They searched it, took a computer and some cash, and they then arrested Ms. Liang. The 60-year-old Liang was later found to have very high blood pressure at Chaoyang No. 1 Detention Center. The police released her the next day.

Five other practitioners were also arrested on April 20. Ms. Wen Hongyu from Jiuduhe Township was arrested and detained at Huairou Detention Center. Ms. Wu of Miaocheng was arrested and sent to Chaoyang No. 1 Detention Center; her computer, printer and Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Lei Guiqin was arrested, and her computer and printer were also taken by the police. A practitioner from Qiaozi Village and another from Yangsong Village were also arrested.
