(Minghui.org) Since the Supreme People's Court in China announced that courts are required to process all cases submitted by citizens starting on May 1, 2015, criminal complaints from Falun Gong practitioners have poured in.
Over 200,000 Falun Gong practitioners, their relatives, and ordinary citizens of all kinds have so far exercised their legal rights to sue Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, for launching the persecution of Falun Gong, which has caused great harm and suffering these past 16 years.
Though there was much misconception and confusion about Falun Gong when the persecution began, over time, quite a number of people in China have come to understand the real situation behind the communist regime's propaganda. Many Chinese citizens have also joined forces to support the prosecution of Jiang Zemin.
In the city of Fushun, Liaoning Province, over 27,000 citizens signed petitions supporting the prosecution of Jiang Zemin. Liaoning Province is one of the provinces where Falun Gong practitioners have been most severely persecuted.
According to the reports on the Minghui website, 4,651 people in Qingyuan County and 3,240 people in Xinbin County had signed the petitions by January 2016. Thousands more—2,077, from districts inside Fushun City and Fushun County, 6,048 from Xinbin County, and 11,302 people from Qingyuan County—signed in support of the prosecution of Jiang for his crimes.
These petitions are then submitted online to the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate.

One prosecutor signed the petition, and he said that he regrets very much what he had done to Falun Gong practitioners. “Jiang Zemin did not do anything good while he was in power,” he said. “He produced a lot of corrupted officials. I handled the cases of Falun Gong, but after I learned the truth about Falun Gong, I was very regretful. I have committed wrong deeds in following the orders of Jiang Zemin, so I wish to make it up to Falun Gong practitioners. I also want to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I will not listen to the CCP anymore. I support suing Jiang Zemin for his crimes.”
One lady's sister was persecuted to death for practicing Falun Gong. “My sister practiced Falun Gong, and she was arrested and tortured to death for not giving up the practice. Her young child lost a mother, and her husband lost a wife. The persecution of Falun Gong caused this tragedy. This is not uncommon in China, so I support bringing Jiang Zemin to justice for causing this great tragedy.”
A village official signed the petition as well. “Jiang Zemin is really bad,” he said. “He did not do anything good, yet Falun Gong practitioners are good people. He issued orders to arrest, torture, and kill Falun Gong practitioners. I thus support suing Jiang Zemin, who should have been arrested long ago. And I wish to use my real name to sign the petition. Let justice prevail.”
“I know the CCP and Jiang Zemin will be punished,” one young man said. “I am a CCP member, and I have requested several time to quit it—but it just has not been allowed. The Party officials are so corrupt, and the people hate them. Falun Gong promotes Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I support Falun Gong practitioners in suing Jiang Zemin. He should be arrested and punished for his crimes.”
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo Standing Committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 17 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his sole orders, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organization, the “610 Office” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising their right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
