(Minghui.org) More than 200,000 Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China have filed legal complaints against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese communist regime since May 2015.

Practitioners are exercising the right conferred to them by China’s constitution. Instead of justice being served, however, the communist regime has retaliated, and illegally sentenced many practitioners.

At least seven Falun Gong practitioners in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province have been sentenced to prison for filing complaints against Jiang Zemin.

Sentenced After Police Visits

Under the order of the Xinyu City 610 Office, police harassed five Falun Gong practitioners for filing criminal complaints against Jiang in early August 2015.

Eight practitioners were arrested in the morning of August 26, 2015, with three being released. The homes of the detained five practitioners were ransacked. They were sentenced by the Yushui District Court.

Ms. Li Qinglian, 46, is a farmer from Luxia Village in Yushui District. She was arrested and held in the Xinyu Detention Center. She was tried on April 13, 2016, and sentenced to two years in prison on May 31, 2016.

Ms. Huang Chunhua, 52, is a retired employee of the No. 25 Company of China Nuclear Corporation. She was arrested and held in the Xinyu Detention Center. She was tried on July 14, 2016, and sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison on August 5, 2016.

Ms. Zhang Wenxing, 26, is the daughter of Ms. Huang Chunhua, with whom she resides. Ms. Zhuang was arrested at work and held in the Ji'an Detention Center. She was tried on July 13, 2016, and sentenced to one year in prison on August 5, 2016.

Ms. Huang Wei, 40, is Ms. Huang Chunhua’s sister. She was arrested and held in the Ji'an Detention Center. She was tried on July 15, 2016, and sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison on August 5, 2016.

Mr. Yang Shiqian, 51, was arrested and taken to the Xinyu Detention Center. He was tried on July 13, 2016, and sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison on August 5, 2016.

Arrested and Sentenced After Inquiry at the Post Office

Ms. Liu Simei and Ms. Ma Yuequn inquired at the post office about why their criminal complaints had not been mailed out. Ao Bingyong and officers from the Yushui Domestic Security Division arrested them and ransacked their homes on July 29, 2015.

Yushui District Court sentenced Ms. Liu to two years in prison and Ms. Ma to two-and-a-half years in early 2016. The two practitioners were taken to the Nanchang Women's Prison on May 20.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's policy regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
