Attitudes Toward Our Problems Being Openly Discussed

Sept. 1, 2016 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) In recent years, several articles from practitioners in my area have been published on Minghui.org. These articles focused on problems such as not paying attention to security issues, undermining the Fa, changing the form of sending righteous thoughts, marketing among practitioners, and being attached to the celestial eye.

Most of the practitioners were able to look within based on the Fa after reading the articles. They agreed that the issues should be exposed in order to stop the damage and wake up the practitioners in question.

Some practitioners felt embarrassed by these articles. They started to complain and wanted to find out who wrote the articles, as if the practitioners who saw the problems were guilty of something.

When someone points out our faults, we should look within and make changes. There are no coincidences in cultivation. Even if we disagree with the criticism, we still should look within unconditionally and see if we have a relevant attachment.

Being upset about our problems because they are exposed shows a flaw in our personality. Resentment and holding grudges are characteristics of beings from the old universe. If we cannot let go of them, we won’t reach the standard of the new universe. As true practitioners, we should be more than happy if someone is willing to point out our attachments.

Some local practitioners placed the photo of a practitioner whose celestial eye was open next to Master’s and worship them together. Regarding this issue, Master said,

“When there are people who are attached to these things, there will be such a situation of undermining the Fa.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)

Master’s comments caused great turmoil among our local practitioners. Many tried to find out who asked the question, who was the practitioner worshiped, and who worshiped that practitioner. Some complained, “This is not a big deal. Why bother Master with it?”

As practitioners, we must treat Master’s words with respect and study the Fa with a solemn attitude. On the surface, the comment was about a local issue, but the in-depth content is still the Fa of the universe. We should be embarrassed that we didn’t do well and that Master has to worry about us.

When Master points out our problems, we should get serious and correct them quickly. How can we underestimate the severity of a problem and blame the person who brought it to Master’s attention? We ought to thank the person.
