Woman Cured of Leukemia by Falun Gong, Arrested for Her Beliefs

Sept. 7, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) A Chaoyang City resident was arrested and given 15 days of detention for telling people about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

This is not the first time that Ms. Mu Lihua has been targeted for her faith. Her latest arrest was preceded by six prior arrests.

Ms. Mu persisted in her efforts to inform the public that the persecution is wrong because Falun Gong cured her leukemia and is nothing like what the regime has depicted in its propaganda.

Ms. Mu contracted leukemia at the age of 26 and had to rely on frequent blood transfusions. She once remained hospitalized for eight straight months. Her husband was crushed by the financial and emotional burden, and divorced her a few years later.

Ms. Mu’s parents took her in and borrowed money to continue her treatment. She felt terrible for having become a burden to them.

As nothing else worked, Ms. Mu eventually turned to Falun Gong in 2003, despite the ongoing persecution of the practice. She soon experienced Falun Gong’s extraordinary healing effects. Her symptoms subsided, and she no longer needed medical attention.

Her parents were thrilled to see their daughter recover from an incurable disease, and they credit Falun Gong for saving her life and bringing hope to their family.

Ms. Mu felt compelled to share her miraculous recovery with people and urge them to help stop the persecution. However, she soon became a target of the local police.

Ms. Mu remains at Beipiao City Detention Center following her arrest on August 24 of this year. Mr. Shuang Yaowen, another Falun Gong practitioner arrested with her, is also being kept captive there.
