Six Haicheng Practitioners File Appeals after Being Sentenced

(Minghui.org) Six Haicheng Falun Gong practitioners were arrested by local police and officers from the Haicheng Domestic Security Division on the morning of June 28, 2016. Their homes were ransacked. They were tried and sentenced. They have since appealed the lower court’s decisions to the Anshan Intermediate Court.

The six practitioners are Mr. Zhang De, Mr. He Bin and his wife Ms. Fan Yuzhi, Ms. Li Ju, Ms. Wang Jun, and Ms. Fu Xunxia.

Mr. Zhang: Four-and-a-half-Year Prison Term

Mr. Zhang was tried on September 21, 2016. He was notified on October 9 that he was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

He filed an appeal. In the middle of December 2016 he was notified that the original sentence was upheld without a trial.

Mr. He and Ms. Fan: Three-and-half Years Each

Mr. He and his wife Ms. Fan were tried in the Haicheng Court on November 18. They were notified on December 19 that each of them was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan.

Ms. Li: 14-Month Prison Term

Ms. Li was tried on November 25. She was sentenced to a 14-month term and fined 5,000 yuan.

Ms. Wang: One Year Prison Term

Ms. Wang was tried on November 25, sentenced to one year, and fined 5,000 yuan.

Ms. Fu: 15 Months in Prison

Ms. Fu was tried on December 6 and sentenced to a 15-month prison term.
