Jan. 19, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Guangxi Province, China

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Li Wei and Ms. Zhou Jianhua were tried for a second time by the Yangshuo County Court on December 16, 2016.

The trial was held in a room with seating for 20 people to watch the proceedings, but only six friends or relatives were allowed to attend the trial.

The presiding judge was again Qin Zhuangfang.

The defense attorneys’ microphones were turned down very low, making it difficult to hear them.

Both lawyers pleaded not guilty on behalf of their clients.

The prosecutors stated that they found information about suing Jiang Zemin on Ms. Li’s computer. However, defense attorney Zhang informed the court that suing Jiang Zemin is not a crime.

Arrest, Detention, and First Trial

Ms. Li from Jilin Province and Ms. Zhou from Inner Mongolia were arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Yangshou County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province on November 4, 2015.

They were detained in the Guilin No. 3 Detention Center.

The first trial was held on October 14, 2016, with many other Falun Gong practitioners in attendance to watch the proceedings.
