Beijing Police Sergeant: “We're Punished Every Time We Persecute Falun Gong”

Feb. 17, 2017 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) A sad-looking, middle-aged man came to my store on a summer afternoon in 2016. I was telling a customer about Falun Gong at the door. The man stood nearby and listened. He followed me into the store after the customer left, and asked if I was a Falun Gong practitioner. I told him that I was.

“I finally found the right person,” he sighed with relief. “I admire you. You dare to tell people about Falun Gong on the street. I could tell that you are a decent person as soon as I saw you.”

He asked me many questions about Falun Gong that puzzled him. I told him about my own cultivation experiences and how extraordinary Falun Gong is, the heinous crimes that Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, has committed, and heaven's punishment that Jiang's followers are receiving. He listened intently.

He told me that he was a police sergeant in Beijing and supervised a dozen officers. He came to his hometown to visit family. Walking down the street, he felt he was looking for something. He realized what he was looking for when he heard the words Falun Gong.

“Presently Falun Gong is still persecuted in Beijing,” he said. “But, we get punished every time when we persecute practitioners. We are scared and don't want to do these things anymore. We don't know exactly why it is being persecuted, let alone how to escape from it.”

He continued, “Recently one of my superiors was very sick and hospitalized. He knew why it happened. He quit his job after he was out of the hospital. I admire him and I want to quit, too. But what other job can I do? I am troubled. I came home to visit my family. I wanted to take some time to carefully think about it.”

He came to my store three days in a row. Afterward, he understood the truth about Falun Gong and agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He told me that he would quit his job.

After hearing this, I was very happy for him. I was glad that he knew the facts and had quit the CCP. However, I suggested that he should not resign. Instead, he should protect practitioners.

“This is a good idea,” he responded. “As a matter of fact, while I have been publicly harsh to practitioners, I helped them quietly.”

He left my store like a new person. He was grateful to Falun Gong and happy to find a bright path for his future.
