(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 3 were illegally arrested.

1. [Guangzong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Gang and Mr. Cai Yun Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Lu Gang and Mr. Cai Yun were tried for the fourth time in the Guangzong County Court on December 18, 2016. In early January 2017, both practitioners' families received verdicts. Mr. Lu was given a five-year prison term and Mr. Cai a three-year prison term. Both families appealed to the Xingtai Intermediate Court.

2. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Ren Xulan Taken Into Custody

Ms. Ren Xulan from Huaibin County was arrested on the evening of February 5, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is held in the Beicheng Police Station.

3. [Shanghai] Ms. Wu Guifen Arrested

Ms. Wu Guifen was followed and arrested on January 23, 2017.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Mingjun Detained

Ms. Li Mingjun from Yangliuqing Town in the Xiqing District,was recently arrested. She is now in the Xiqing Detention Center.

5. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Many Mengyin County Practitioners Remain in Custody

Ms. Wang Xiangying, Ms. Yi Shuling, Ms. Zhang Jimei, Mr. Zhang Libao, and Ms. Zhang Guifeng are still being held in the Shandong Prison.

Mr. Zhao Chuanwen, Mr. Zhou Guangming, Ms. Liu Fenghou, Ms. Meng Xianglan, Ms. Meng Xiangling, Ms. Han Hongxia, Ms. An Lianyu, and Ms. Gao Fenglan are held in the Hedong District Detention Center in Linyi City.
