(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Li Dongdong Detained

Ms. Li Dongdong and her husband were reported to the authorities when they were distributed informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of February 14, 2017.

They were arrested at their home in Lujiazhui, Pudong District the next morning, and more than 40 Falun Gong books were confiscated. Her husband was released, but Ms. Li was detained.

2. [Yanshan County, Yunnan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Yanshan County 610 Office and Domestic Security Division threatened, videotaped, and searched practitioners who filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin from January 21 to 23, 2017.

At around midday on February 13, eight officers from the 610 Office and Domestic Security Division raided a practitioner's home, arresting six practitioners who were reading Zhuan Falun together at the time. Their books and other materials were confiscated. The practitioners were released later that night.

Officers went to the practitioners' homes the next day and took them to the county police department.

3. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Qi Lei and Ms. Cheng Ruie Detained

Mr. Qi Lei and Ms. Cheng Ruie were arrested on February 9, 2017, by officers from the Chengnan Police Station in Shizilu Town.

They are being held at the Junan County Detention Center. Mr. Qi was subjected to 12 days detention. Ms. Cheng's situation is unknown.

4. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Hua Detained

Ms. Gong Hua was arrested on February 13, 2017, by Qin Yujing and others from the Donggang Domestic Security Division. Her cell phone, keys, and car were confiscated.

Ms. Gong was taken to the Rizhao City Detention Center that night and subjected to 15 days of administrative detention.

5. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Changfeng and Ms. Peng Xiuying Detained

Ms. Liu Changfeng and Ms. Peng Xiuying from the Lishui District talked about Falun Gong and handed out fliers at a get-together on January 9, 2017.

They were arrested by officers from the Honglan Police Station and taken to the Nanjing City Detention Center.

6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hong Yanxia Deceived and Imprisoned

Ms. Hu Yanxia was sentenced to three years in prison in 2013, but was later released on bail pending trial due to health issues.

She was called in to the Qiaoxi District Court to sign a document on February 14, 2017. When she turned up she was first taken to the Second Detention Center, and then to the local women's prison.

7. [Changsha County, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Tianliu Facing Trial

Ms. Yang Tianliu was arrested on September 29, 2016 and taken to the Changsha No. 4 Detention Center.

She was to be tried at the Changsha County Court on the morning of February 22, 2017.

8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Yali Detained for 15 Days

Ms. Sun Yali was arrested by officers from the Qingyuan Town Police Station when she and her brother asked about their father's case at the Qingyuan County Police Department on February 13, 2016.

She was detained for 15 days.

Her father, Mr. Sun Guojun was arrested for distributing Falun Gong calendars on December 26, 2016.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Gu Yiyi Detained

Ms. Gu Yiyi was arrested on February 15, 2017. She is being held at the Yiwanshui Detention Center.
