Police Raid Woman's Home and Confiscate Her Property

May 6, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hunan Province, China

(Minghui.org) Eight police officers in Chenzhou City forced their way into Ms. Jiang Xilian's home on April 27, claiming to be investigating a case. Ms. Jiang is a practitioner of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline currently being persecuted in China. The police confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi, to be used against her as proof of her spiritual beliefs.

Ms. Jiang refused to go to the police station, since she didn't commit a crime. She also refused to sign the deposition after the police interrogated her at home.

Ms. Jiang's third son videotaped part of the process. The police then locked him in a police vehicle and erased the recording. They asked one of his brothers to sign the deposition on Ms. Jiang's behalf. When the police refused to let him photograph the signed deposition, he crossed out his signature. The police later left with Mr. Li's photograph.
