(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 19 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 were illegally arrested.

Two officers from the Luanjiakou Border Police Station, Beigou Town, went to Ms. Jiang Xiumei's home and ransacked the place. They confiscated Ms. Jiang's Falun Gong books. Wang Zuobao, director of the police station, threatened Ms. Jiang and said that he would place her in detention or put her into a hospital.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Guixiang Detained

Officers from the Chuncheng Street Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Guixiang's home and ransacked it on December 18, 2016. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a full set of Falun Gong books, printed materials, three printers, a notebook computer, and 20,000 yuan in cash. They waited there until it was past 5 p.m. When Ms. Zhang did not return they took her husband to the police station. They threatened him, and did not release him till midnight.

Afterwards, the police monitored her family, friends, and relatives over the phone and the Internet. As a result, Ms. Zhang was forced to leave town. She has been displaced for several months.

On the evening of April 10, 2017, Ms. Zhang returned home, and was arrested the following morning by officers who had been monitoring communication of everyone she might be in contact with. Her family was forbidden to meet her. On the morning of April 12 the police notified the family that Ms. Zhang had been taken to the No. 4 Detention Center.

3. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Hu Yonghua Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Hu Yonghua from Guanyinshan Town was arrested by Domestic Security officers and the local police on April 11, 2017. His home was ransacked. He was taken to a brainwashing center.

4. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Sheng Xiuhuan Placed In Administrative Detention

Officers including Zheng Xiaodong and Zhao Xiuxian from the Aohan Banner Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Sheng Xiuhuan's home and ransacked it on the morning of April 11, 2017. An officer phoned Ms. Sheng and her husband at work and told them to come home. When they came home the couple was taken to the police station. Their notebook computer and printer were confiscated. Ms. Sheng was placed under administrative detention that afternoon. Her husband was released.

5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Jia Guoyou Harassed

Officers from the Jiazhai Town Police Station, Chiping County, went to Mr. Jia Guoyou's home in Houzhai Village on the afternoon of April 11, 2017. They searched the place and made a mess. They videotaped the process. The officers confiscated a DVD.

6. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiang Kelin Taken to Fanjiatai Prison

After Mr. Xiang Kelin from Jingshan County was held in custody for two years, he was taken to the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County in March 2017.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Daqi Arrested

Mr. Lu Daqi was arrested and his home was ransacked by officers from the Xizhan Police Station on April 12, 2017.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Chunsu Detained

Ms. Yang Chunsu from Sanguanmiao Village, Gaoli Town, Hanting District, was arrested by officers from the Gaoli Police Station on the morning of March 15, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked and she is being held in the Weifang Detention Center.

9. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Xiaofen Detained

Ms. Huang Xiaofen's home was ransacked on the afternoon of April 12, 2017. It was confirmed that night she was taken to the Chenzhou Detention Center. She was probably arrested on the afternoon of April 11.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Dongdong and Ms. Wu Xiaoya Arrested

Mr. Zhou Dongdong, 54, and Ms. Wu Xiaoya, in her early 40s, were arrested on April 1, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials.

Mr. Zhou's home was ransacked that day. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. He is held in the Zhonggong Detention Center for 37 days of detention.

Five plainclothes officers from the Qianfoshan Police Station ransacked Ms. Wu's home on the afternoon of April 1, and confiscated five printers, a computer, more than twelve Falun Gong books, several journals, and a pendant.

11. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Meiying Arrested

Ms. Wang Meiying was arrested on April 7, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

12. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Zhenghui Placed In Criminal Detention

Mr. Wu Zhenghui, in his 40s, a teacher at the Changqing District No. 2 Experimental Middle School, was arrested at the school gate by officers from the Dongguan Police Station on the afternoon of April 6, 2017.

Wang Jiadong, head of the Changqing District Police Department's Domestic Security Division and other officers including Guan Hui from the Dongguan Police Station ransacked Mr. Wu's home around 7 p.m. They confiscated a computer, a printer, a flash drive, an MP3, and Falun Dafa symbols. Mr. Wu was placed in criminal detention on April 7, 2017.

13. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Muduo Arrested

Mr. Li Muduo was arrested and his home ransacked on the afternoon of April 11, 2017. The police confiscated two computers, three printers, and Falun Gong books. Mr. Li was taken to the Nanta Police Station, Suxian District, where he was interrogated.

14. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Zhanqun Detained

Ms. Zhang Zhanqun was arrested by five fully armed officers from the Xingnong Township Police Station on the morning of March 26, 2017 for posting “Falun Dafa is Good” stickers. The officers searched her car. She was taken to the police station where she was interrogated for three hours. She was then taken to the Jidong County Domestic Security Division for interrogation that afternoon. Domestic Security officers ransacked Ms. Zhang's protective and work safety wholesale shop that evening.

Ms. Zhang was taken to the Jidong County Hospital for blood tests, X-rays, and a cardiac examination. Afterwards she was taken to the Jidong County No. 2 Detention Center for 10 days of detention. She was actually held for 11 days and released on April 5.

15. [Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Liu Jianbing Placed In Administrative Detention

Mr. Liu Jianbing was arrested at his shop by Xin Junmin, head of the County Domestic Security Division, and other officers on April 11, 2017. He was placed in administrative detention for 15 days.

16. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Baifang and Wife Ms. Zhao Jinfeng Arrested

Mr. Sun Baifang and his wife Ms.Zhao Jinfeng from Mozi Village, Zanzi Township, Qian'an County, were arrested at the Zanzi Township Police Station when they applied for identity cards on April 10, 2017.

17. [Beijing] Ms. Zhou Shufang and Ms. Tang Yuhua Detained

Ms. Zhou Shufang from the Fangchengyuan Residential Community, Fangzhuang area, and Ms. Tang Yuhua from Dongcheng District, and another practitioner with the last name Li were arrested by officers from the Tuanjiehu Police Station on the morning of April 6, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Chaoyang Detention Center about 11 p.m. that night. Li was released on bail on April 8, for failing the physical exam.

18. [Guazhou County, Gansu Province] Mr. Shi Jinxin Arrested; Ms. Liu Rong's Home Ransacked

Mr. Shi Jinxin was arrested around April 8, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

On the morning of April 10, 2017 approximately twelve dozen officers from the Guazhou Police Department broke into the home of Ms. Liu Rong, nearly 70, and ransacked it. They confiscated a computer, and a printer, among other items.

19. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Cao Zhaohe Detained

Mr. Cao Zhaohe was arrested and detained for months.

20. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Nie Tiemei Taken to Psychiatric Hospital

Ms. Nie Tiemei is an employee at the Hengguang Property Co., Ltd, State Grid Electricity Bureau. When her manager asked her to sign a guarantee statement, she refused. She was taken to the Huaihua City Psychiatric Hospital. Due to the unknown drugs she was given every day, she has suffered a mental breakdown. This is the seventh time she has been subjected to this form of persecution.

21. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Taken Into Custody

Ms. Liu Xiuying and five other practitioners were arrested at her home by several Ezhou City police officers when they were studying Falun Gong teachings on the afternoon of April 8, 2017. Elderly Ms. Xiao was released that day. The other five practitioners remain in custody.

22. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shi Jing and Ms. Shao Ying Detained

Ms. Shi Jing and Ms. Shao Ying were taken to the Daqing Detention Center on the evening of April 11, 2017

23. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Taken to Prison

Ms. Jiang Yuhuan was taken to the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison on April 1, 2017.

Mr. Yu Dali, Mr. Bian Qunlian, and Mr. Yu Hailong were taken to the Jidong Prison, Tangshan City. Their families were not notified.

24. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guiqin Harassed

Officers from the Daxing Township went to Ms. Zhang Guiqin's home on April 10, 2017. Ms. Zhang was not at home time, so they returned the following day. Ms. Zhang was not at home. They tore small paintings and couplets from the walls.
