Hubei Woman Violently Arrested, Now Awaiting Indictment

June 1, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hubei Province

(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhu Xirong was talking to someone in front of a supermarket on March 15, 2017 when a sedan pulled up and a man tried to drag her into the car.

Ms. Zhu recognized the man as Chang Wu, and she also saw another familiar face, Liu Jie (a member of the local 610 Office), in the car. She knew right away that they had targeted her because she refused to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. After all, the two men and other local agents had arrested her more than once in the past for her faith.

Ms. Zhu yelled, “610 Office people are arresting Falun Gong practitioners!” Chang grabbed her head and pushed her inside with Liu’s help. During the struggle, Ms. Zhu’s left leg hit the car frame hard, causing her to limp when she walked.

Ms. Zhu was driven to a local brainwashing center. She began to experience intensifying pains in her back, chest, and left leg, and she sweated profusely. The police and the 610 Office, however, didn’t take her for a checkup until March 29. She was diagnosed with three broken ribs and aortosclerosis.

The police released Ms. Zhu on bail the next day. She discovered that her laptop, two printers, portable hard drives, and Falun Gong books and materials had been confiscated.

The 610 Office and the police are gathering evidence against Ms. Zhu in an attempt to file charges against her.
