(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 45 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Tian Feng Arrested

Mr. Tian Feng was arrested on May 13, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Cao Rongfen Arrested

Ms. Cao Rongfen, 72, was arrested by a police officer from the Huayanli Residential Community in the Chaoyang District on May 12, 2017. Her Falun Gong books and materials were confiscated.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yinying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yinying was arrested in early May 2017.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Lianyi Arrested

Mr. Wang Lianyi from the Yanqing District was arrested at his home on the afternoon of May 19, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Yuan Zhiqin Detained

Ms. Yuan Zhiqin from Anxinzhuang Village, Mulin Town, the Shunyi District, was recently arrested and taken to the Mulin Police Station.

Ms. Yuan is being held in the Nihe Detention Center.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Du Rong and Ms. Zhou Ming Arrested

Mr. Du Rong and Ms. Zhou Ming were arrested on May 19, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Liuhe Police Station, where they were interrogated and brutally beaten.

Ms. Zhou lost her hearing, felt dizzy, and her left shoulder was severely bruised as a result of the beatings.

Ms. Zhou's home was ransacked before she was released.

Mr. Du was taken to the Chengdu City Detention Center.

7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cheng, Ms. Wang, and Mr. Li Xiangdong and his son from Xianhe Town, Shengli Oilfield, were arrested by officers from the Haigang Border Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong in Haigang on May 21, 2017.

The four practitioners’ whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Ruizhen Detained

Ms. Zhang Ruizhen was arrested by officers from the Heguan Police Station on the morning of May 19, 2017. Her Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Ms. Zhang is being held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

9. [Pingding County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Qiaolan Detained

Ms. Wang Qiaolan was arrested by officers from the Pingding County 610 Office, the Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the Guanshan Police Station on the afternoon of May 19, 2017.

Her home was ransacked. Her computer, Falun Gong materials, petition letters, and a cell phone were confiscated.

Ms. Wang is being held in the Yangquan Detention Center.

10. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Seventeen Practitioners Arrested

Seventeen practitioners from Zhuhai City and Tanzhou Town in Zhongshan City, were arrested at Mr. Lin Yongxu's home on the afternoon of May 20, 2017. Their homes were ransacked.

Those arrested include Mr. Lin Yongxu, his wife Ms. Li Shujuan, Mr. A'qiang, Mr. Liu, Ms. Yang, Mr. Wang, Ms. Hung, Ms. Li, Ms. Zhao, Ms. Wu, Ms. Liu, Ms. Zeng Qing, Mr. A'wen, Ms. A'rong, Mr. He, Mr. Xiaozhou, and Mr. Fan.

Ms. Huang, Ms. Li, Ms. Yang, Ms. Zhao, Ms. A'wen, and Ms. Zeng have been released.

11. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Lu Shiming Arrested

Mr. Lu Shiming from the Jianye District was arrested by officers from the Shazhou Police Station on May 19, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Sun Yezhen Detained

Ms. Sun Yezhen, 69, was arrested by officers from the Changhong Police Station on May 5, 2017. She was taken to the Jiujiang City Lockup Center, and was transferred to the Jiujiang City Detention Center on May 18, 2017.

13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Zhixia Detained

Ms. Xu Zhixia was arrested by officers from the Woluogu Town Police Station in Yutian County on May 16, 2017.

Ms. Xu was taken to the Yutian County Detention Center.

14. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liping and Mr. Wang Zhiquan Detained

Ms. Hao Liping from Mutoudeng Town was arrested by officers from the Sanxingkou Police Station on the evening of May 7, 2017, for hanging Falun Gong banners. She was taken to the Qinglong County Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Zhiquan from Xiezhuang Village, Mutoudeng Town, was arrested Qinhuangdao Development Zone Police Station officers on May 9, 2017. They confiscated his tablet, Falun Gong books, and related informational materials.

Mr. Wang is being held in the Qinhuangdao Detention Center.

15. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Liu Jingmin, Mr. Lu Xueli, and Mr. Yan Xinliang from Luohe City were arrested by plainclothes officers from the Xiping County Criminal Police Division and the Ganhechen Police Station on the afternoon of May 19, 2017.

The three practitioners are being held in Xiping County.

16. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Shi Fengxiang Arrested

Ms. Shi Fengxiang from the Shangjie District as arrested by officers from the Xiawo Police Station for distributing Falun Gong amulets on the morning of May 19, 2017. She was released that evening.

17. [Xiping County, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Yingchun and His Wife Ms. Kong Yujie Detained

Mr. Liu Yingchun, in his 40s, and his wife Ms. Kong Yujie were arrested by Xiping County Police Department officers on the afternoon of May 19, 2017.

Mr. Liu and Ms. Kong were taken to the Xiping County Detention Center.

18. [Rui'an City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wang Liyun Arrested

Ms. Wang Liyun was arrested at her home by Chen Zhao and officers from the Rui'an City Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office on the morning of May 18, 2017.

Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Youlin and Ms. Chen Chunyan Detained

Ms. Li Youlin and Ms. Chen Chunyan from Xiaochang County were arrested by officers from the Xiaogang Police Station in the Xiaonan District on the afternoon of May 19, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Li and Ms. Chen were taken to the Xiaogan City Detention Center.

20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners' Cases Transferred to Court

Mr. Fu Guoqi, Mr. Huang Liwu, Mr. Chen Yanming, Ms. Xia Yulan, Ms. Xi Guoxiu, Ms. Yang Haizhen, and Ms. Li Xian'e from the Wuchang District were arrested.

Ms. Yang and Ms. Li were released on medical bail; the other practitioners' cases have been transferred to the Ezhou City Court.

The pre-trial meeting was scheduled for the morning of May 31, 2017.

21. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Cheng Ruzhang and Ms. Chen Zhengui Arrested

Ms. Cheng Ruzhang, in her 60s, and Ms. Chen Zhengui, in her 70s, were arrested by Yuntang Police Station officers on the morning of May 17, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Heping Park.

Ms. Cheng had her hands cuffed behind her back and she was pushed into a police car. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Chen was released on bail after her son paid a fine of 20,000 yuan.

22. [Chongqing] Ms. Shao Zhongqun Detained

Ms. Shao Zhongqun, 65, was arrested and taken to the Qingmuguan Detention Center by officers from the Shuangbei 610 Office in November 2016.

Ms. Shao was transferred to Xinjiang Prison by the Xinjiang police. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Chongqing] Ms. Feng Yingqin Detained

Security officer Li Hengyi from the Tongnan District Police Department, a residential committee member, and several police officers broke into Ms. Feng Yingqin's home and ransacked it on the morning of March 29, 2017. They confiscated Falun Gong materials, a recorder, and more than 100 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them.

Ms. Feng was held in the Tongnan District Detention Center for ten days.
