(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu Chunxiong, Mr. Wu Xuqin, and Ms. Manqi were arrested at their workplace by officers from the Dongsheng Police Station on May 22, 2017.

The police later arrested Ms. Chen Xiaobin (Mr. Wu Xuqin's mother), Ms. Lu Wanyuan, Ms. Shaona, Ms. Lin Hua, and Mr. Yunchang.

2. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Anqun and Ms. Liu Shuhua Detained

Mr. Wang Anqun and Ms. Liu Shuhua were arrested by officers from the Shixi Police Station on May 25, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Wang and Ms. Liu are currently being held at the police station.

3. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Haiyan Detained

Ms. Wang Haiyan was arrested by Dang Liyou and other officers from the Duzhuang Police Station on May 20, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Wang is being held at the Qinhuangdao Detention Center.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Feng Yunqing Detained

Ms. Feng Yunqing was arrested on May 22, 2017. She is being held at the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Wenjie and Ms. Wang Shaomin Arrested

Ms. Yang Wenjie and Ms. Wang Shaomin were arrested by officers from the Biguo Town Police Station on May 25, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Both practitioners are still being detained.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Aiying Arrested

Ms. Dong Aiying was recently arrested and had her computer and printer confiscated.

7. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Cheng Junqiang Imprisoned

Mr Cheng Junqiang was arrested at his home by plainclothes officers including Ma Shuguang (马曙光) from the Laiyang City Domestic Security Division on November 3, 2016. He has been deprived of family visits.

Mr. Cheng was sentenced to one and a half years in prison in April 2017. He was taken to the Jinan Prison on May 20, 2017.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Ren Wenman Arrested

Ms. Ren Wenman was arrested on May 24, 2017. The police confiscated two computers, several tablets, cell phones, and other personal belongings.

9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Yongzhou and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Li Yongzhou and his wife were arrested at their home by officers from the Tanfang Town Police Station and the Qingzhou Domestic Security Division on May 22, 2017. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books.

Mr. Li is being held at the Qingzhou Detention Center. His wife was released the same day.

10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xue Li Arrested

Ms. Xue Li was recently arrested.

11. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhenli and An Elderly Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhenli and an elderly practitioner were arrested by officers from the Sanshandao Town Police Station on May 19, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

The elderly practitioner was released that day, while Ms. Wang was detained.

12. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Weiming Detained

Mr. Xie Weiming was arrested by officers from the local police department and domestic security division on May 24, 2017. The police confiscated computers and cell phones.

Mr. Xie is being held at the Suixi County Detention Center.

13. [Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Meng Lixia and Her Sister Arrested

Ms. Meng Lixia and her sister were arrested by officers from the Yuanqu County Police Department on May 26, 2017.

14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Lei and Ms. Zhou Xiaoli Arrested

Mr. Chen Lei and Ms. Zhou Xiaoli were arrested on May 23, 2017. Their homes were ransacked.

Mr. Chen is being held at the Jilin City Detention Center.

15. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Juntian Arrested

Mr. Li Juntian, a teacher in the Xinfu District, was arrested at his workplace on May 23, 2017.

16. [Shanghai] Mr. Song Xingwei and Mr. Bo Changcheng Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Song Xingwei and Mr. Bo Changcheng were both sentenced to four years in prison and were each fined 10,000 yuan by the Baoshan District Court on May 23, 2017.

17. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Yang Futian and His Wife Ms. Sun Jing Arrested

Mr. Yang Futian and his wife Ms. Sun Jing were arrested by Han Limin (韩立民) and officers from the Yuanbaoshan Police Station and the Domestic Security Division on May 25, 2017. The police confiscated a computer, three printers, and Falun Gong books.

Mr. Yang and Ms. Sun were held at the Pingzhuang Detention Center. Ms. Sun was released, but her husband is still being detained.
