(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yu Cuihua Taken to Jiangxi Women's Prison

Ms. Yu Cuihua, 67, had been twice sentenced to forced labor, in addition to a four-year prison term. She has spent over ten years in prisons or labor camps since the persecution of Falun Gong began.

Ms. Yu was again arrested on the morning of January 28, 2016. She was given a five-and-a-half-year prison term by the Xinjian District Court on December 22, 2016. She appealed. The appeals court upheld the original verdict in April 2017. She was taken to the Jiangxi Women's Prison.

2. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Meiying Faces Trial

Ms. Liu Meiying, an employee at the Jiangnan Machinery Factory, was arrested for posting Falun Gong informational materials on May 2, 2017. She was detained until May 14, and will be tried on June 16.

3. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guosheng Taken into Custody

Mr. Zhang Guosheng was arrested on the evening of June 8, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. He is held in the Jiaohe City Police Department.

4. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Lijuan, Ms. Wang Dongmei, Ms. Zhang Yanhui, and Ms. Li Xiaojuan were arrested on the morning of June 8, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Ma'an Town farmers market. They were held in the Yitong County Detention Center.

5. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Kunying Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Xiao Kunying from Longping Township was arrested on the morning of June 7, 2017 for talking to students about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Remain in Custody

Eight practitioners from Yaohai District were arrested when they studied the Falun Gong teachings together on the afternoon of June 6, 2017. Five practitioners were released. Ms. Wang Kezhen, Ms. Zhao, and Ms. Yuan remain in custody at a police station.

7. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Changle County Domestic Security Division and the Shouguang City Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Tang Xiuqing's home on the evening of June 8, 2017. They arrested Ms. Tang and two other practitioners.

8. [Dong'e County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Huijie Arrested

Ms. Wang Huijie was arrested by officers from the Yushan Town Police Station on June 8, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials in Nantian Village, Yushan Town.

9. [Mei County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xinfeng and Niece Ms. Chen Na Arrested

Ms. Chen Xinfeng and her niece from Jinji Village, Nankou Town, were arrested on June 1, 2017. Ms. Chen Xinfeng is held in a detention center. Her home was ransacked.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Xiuying Detained

Ms. Ma Xiuying from Tuanhe Village, Daxing District, was arrested on the T47 Train before it departed from the Beijing Train Station on the evening of June 7, 2017. She is held in the Daxing Detention Center.

11. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Guiqing Arrested

Ms. Gao Guiqing was arrested at home by officers from the Yi County Domestic Security Division and the Chengguan Township Police Station on the morning of June 8, 2017.

12. [Chongqing] Mr. Yang Li Detained

Mr. Yang Li from Xinpaifang Village, Yubei District, was arrested by officers from the Longshan Police Station on the morning of June 2, 2017 for posting Falun Gong materials. He is held in the Yiwanshui Detention Center, Yubei District.
