(Minghui.org) At the age of 14, he was sent to a youth detention center. He joined the army but was kicked out for breaking the rules. He was later sentenced to nine years in prison for assault. After his release, he became a drug dealer, and in 2002 he was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

A group of Falun Gong practitioners were sent to the prison this man was at in 2005. The prison ordered the criminal inmates to watch the practitioners. The inmates' main jobs were monitoring and torturing practitioners, as well as forcing them to renounce their faith in Falun Gong. The prison gave this team of criminals a month of training and made detailed plans. This man became the head of the group.

He helped the prison for years and tortured a large number of practitioners. His behavior was documented by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG).

After he was released in 2010, he ran into a practitioner he knew from the prison. The practitioner accompanied him to his apartment and played him a video debunking the self-immolation on Tiananmen Square, an incident staged by the communist authorities and broadcast nationwide to incite public hatred against Falun Gong.

The practitioner opened the WOIPFG website and showed the man the records regarding his role in abusing practitioners in prison. He was scared. He asked the practitioner to leave him more DVDs about Falun Gong. “These are very precious,” he mumbled.

The next day, the practitioner went back to the man’s apartment. The man said excitedly, “My skin disease disappeared last night. It has cost me a big chunk of money and tortured me for many years.”

He had developed the condition from drug abuse and was tormented by itchiness every night. He had spent thousands of dollars and tried treatments at several large hospitals, but it was no use. However, after he watched the Falun Gong DVDs, the itchiness abated, and the pus solidified.

He spoke excitedly to this practitioner for quite some time. The main theme of all that he said was begging forgiveness from the founder of Falun Gong and practitioners.

“Please forgive me,” he said. “I was in prison and had no idea what Falun Gong was really about. The prison administration brainwashed me. I thought their propaganda was true. When I beat practitioners and forced them to give up their belief, I really thought I was helping them.

“Later, after I really got to know them, I found that they were different than what I had heard from the administration. I started to have doubts.

“Last night, I watched the DVDs you gave me, I clearly saw that I had been deceived. I saw the version of the self-immolation case made by the prison administration hundreds of times. But yesterday, when I saw your version, I suddenly realized that all that I had seen before were lies.

“The disease that has tortured me for so many years was gone overnight. The poison in my body has been expelled. I now see the amazing power of Falun Gong. No wonder those practitioners in prison refused to give up, even when they were tortured.

“Now, I completely understand what is right and what is wrong. I will try my best to make up for my mistakes. I beg forgiveness from your Master.”

He asked the practitioner how he could make up for what he had done. The practitioner told him to tell more people what he learned.

He asked for a lot of informational materials. “After I read them, I will pass them on to other people,” he said.
