(Minghui.org) The Changyi Court sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Xinhua from Changyi City to three years in prison on December 29, 2017, and fined her 10,000 yuan.

Ms. Sun is almost 70 years old. She was arrested on March 29, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Changyi City. Before taking Ms. Sun to the police department the police ransacked her home.

Officers Liu Changen and Wang Yiqiang of the Domestic Security Division took Ms. Sun to the local detention center. The detention center refused to accept her because she did not pass the physical examination.

Liu and Wang went to Ms. Sun's home the next day, ransacked it again, and confiscated almost everything of value.

Ms. Sun was taken to the Weifang Detention Center by Liu Changen in November, but was not accepted for failing the physical examination. Thus, she was released again.

Ms. Sun was put on trial on December 12, 2017. Many of her friends and relatives were not allowed to attend the trial, because they were not informed that ID cards were required in order to attend.

During the trial, Ms. Sun could not read her defense arguments, because the court marshal had confiscated her documents.

Ms. Sun received her sentencing notification on December 29, 2017. She was sentenced to three years in prison.
