(Minghui.org) Seventy-six-year old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gan Jiejun was recently taken to the Wangcheng District Public Security Bureau, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was released and sent home after talking to the officers about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong and the illegal persecution.
Seven officers from the Wangcheng Public Security Bureau in Changsha City, Hunan Province broke into Ms. Gan's home without a search warrant on the morning of August 18, 2018. They said that someone had reported her for handing out information about Falun Gong. They searched her home and confiscated a collection of Falun Gong books. The officers then arrested Ms. Gan, her daughter, and her niece.
During the arrest and interrogation, Ms. Gan remained calm and had no fear. She knew that distributing information about Falun Gong was not against the law, and that the entire persecution was groundless.
Although the officers broke into her home and confiscated her books, she knew that they had been deceived by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) propaganda. Ms. Gan explained to the officers about the goodness of the practice and the misguided nature of those who participate in the persecution. After three hours of Ms. Gan explaining Falun Gong, the officers seemed to soften their stances as they learned the truth. They then released Ms. Gan, her daughter, and the niece.
Ms. Gan is from Changsha City, Hunan Province. She learned the practice in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province in 1995. Ms. Gan has been illegally arrested multiple times for her faith. She was once arrested in January 21, 2010, by officers from Yuanling Police Station, Futian District, wrongly convicted, and imprisoned in Guangdong Province Women's Prison.
