(Minghui.org) Regarding the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, some practitioners feel puzzled about how the persecution can become more severe when the Fa-rectification is approaching the end.
I think it is not that the persecution is more severe; it is because of our loopholes that the persecution continues. We need to use this opportunity to look inward and improve.
Though the persecution still continues, it can't compare with when the persecution had just started. Because the Fa-rectification hasn't finished, this dimension is still in the old universe's form, and the old forces' mechanisms are still there.
The old mechanisms will be destroyed as the Fa-rectification progresses, but as long as they exist, the persecution will continue.
I think that the old forces can only interfere with those who haven't met the requirements of Dafa. Here are some examples.
There is a female practitioner in our area who was arrested and sentenced. Her case was reported online many times. After she was released, she always talked about how she was steadfast during her detention, implying that she did better than others.
She was persecuted because she had loopholes. If she didn't use this opportunity to look inward and was still showing off about how well she did during her detention, the old forces would still be able to take advantage of her in the end.
She borrowed money and didn't want to pay it back. She asked other practitioners to venture into pyramid sales. Those are big issues in one’s cultivation, and that was why the old forces didn't let her off the hook.
Another practitioner who appeared to be very diligent on the surface was harassed by the police one day. He later told us that he had an extramarital affair. This is unacceptable behavior even for an everyday person, let alone for a practitioner.
A coordinator was arrested while he was visiting another practitioner and was later sentenced. Most local practitioners couldn't believe what had happened because he appeared to be very diligent. Practitioners later learned that when other practitioners filed criminal complaints against the former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin, he opposed it.
He also stopped other practitioners from getting involved with bringing Jiang Zemin to justice. Though he filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin in the end, the old forces wouldn't let him off the hook.
Some practitioners are very interested in the news, such as the trade war between China and America, Pig’s disease, and the famous actress who went missing. Why wouldn't the old forces make trouble for those with so many human attachments?
Think about it, have our cultivation states met the standard of Dafa? It is not that the current persecution is more serious; it is our poor cultivation.
With so many human notions, the old forces will take advantage of us, so the fundamental issue is to be diligent in cultivation.
The highest levels of the old forces have been destroyed by Master during the process of Fa-rectification, but old forces still exist in the three realms, which is for Dafa disciples to cultivate.
Master said:
“If he were an ordinary person, no matter how bad he was, the evil wouldn't pay any attention to him. Because he wants to cultivate, though, the evil will try to stop him from cultivating. And when you don't cultivate solidly you become a target for the evil's persecution.” (Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York)
If we don't pay attention to our shortcomings and human attachments, it will be a problem.
I know a practitioner who is a so-called “important person” to the local police, but she never gets harassed when she takes a train or flight. She is really diligent, so no one dares to touch her.
