Hubei Man Gets Four Years for Sending Videos on Social Media to Expose the Persecution of His Faith

(Minghui.org) A man in Hubei Province was sentenced to four years and fined 10,000 yuan on April 12, 2018 for sending Falun Gong related videos on WeChat, the dominant social media platform in China. His appeal was rejected by the local intermediate court on July 20, 2018.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body discipline persecuted by the communist regime since 1999.

Mr. Huang Daimiao, 51, former deputy director of the Business and Tourism Department at a vocational college in Yichang City, Hubei Province, was arrested in May 2017 for sending the videos on WeChat to expose the persecution of Falun Gong.

His arrest was approved on June 30, 2017, and he has been held at Yiling District Detention Center since.
