(Minghui.org) At this current stage, the Fa-rectification has progressed to a much higher level in the cosmos, and Dafa practitioners should also reach that high a level accordingly. How do cultivators let go of qing (sentiment) and human notions to reach the Fa standards? I feel it is basically by removing the attachments to fame, profit, and sentiment. We can see the world with compassion only if we are free of qing.
Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, said:
“I know what it’s like to be free of emotion (pointing to the heart). It means having compassion for all living things, something altogether different from emotion and that is all-encompassing. When someone is like that, emotion feels unnecessary and irksome—similar to when you hear something unpleasant or see something that shouldn’t be, and you don’t want to have anything to do with it.” (“2018 Fa Teaching Given in Washington, D.C.”)
Lives in each dimension within the Three Realms have qing. They have their own origins and missions. Because of the existence of qing and desire, the people in our lives, such as our parents and siblings, husbands and wives, relatives and acquaintances, are connected to each other for all kinds of reasons. If a practitioner cannot awaken from the illusion of this dimension, it will be difficult for him or her to cultivate well to become a high-level being.
Letting go of qing and thinking about problems with the Fa at higher levels, we can easily identify what is old-force and low-level being interference and will not fall prey to their arrangements.
We should try to let go of human notions and share cultivation experiences with each other with all due seriousness. With the powerful abilities Master has given us, we should eliminate any false factors and avoid causing unnecessary difficulties in validating the Fa. We must point out any problems we notice in a timely way and rectify the factors that led us off-track from the Fa.
As my qing diminished, I could more effectively assist Master to rectify the Fa. I could easily see if my qing decreased because of the Fa or because of other factors in the human dimension. On all Dafa projects that I worked on with fellow practitioners, we thus could stay on the right track instead of going astray and wasting time. As a result, every Dafa project helped us improve and merge into the Fa as a whole.
Failure to let go of qing will affect all aspects of cultivation. When even one practitioner is attached to human notions in the group Fa study, that attachment will hinder mutual improvement within the group and result in many cultivation questions remaining unsolved.
One example involved a practitioner I knew who was ardent and cherished qing. He participated in many group Fa study groups. He liked to discuss the Fa principles and often related the cultivation stories of other practitioners eloquently and logically. But he hardly ever talked about his own experiences. He always emphasized how hard he had worked to help Master rectify the Fa.
Many practitioners thought from a human perspective that he cultivated diligently, and very few judged him from the Fa standards because of qing. With my supernormal abilities, I saw that this practitioner was surrounded by a “false self” and did not really share from the perspective of the Fa.
I felt that the more this practitioner shared his experiences, the more he was damaging fellow practitioners as the Fa-rectification progressed. Recently, this practitioner has endured severe sickness karma. Everyone then realized that his superficiality in cultivation caused great damage to the Fa.
When I was lazily lying in bed one morning, my mother asked, “Are you still going to do the exercises?”
Although her question was very simple, I enlightened that a practitioner should never say “I'm not practicing.” I certainly knew it was a test of the old forces.
“Of course!” I answered and quickly got out of bed.
Since then, I have never delayed doing the exercises in the morning. If something special came up and I couldn't do the exercises then, I would make it up later. I understand that a missed opportunity cannot be recovered. We should not give up any consummation opportunity that Master has arranged for us.
On another occasion, my mother said, “Bring the garbage with you since you are going down.”
This was just an ordinary statement, but I realized that practitioners should be careful with their thoughts and speech. At the same time, I saw a bad being staring at me from my mother's dimension. I said to myself, “This evil cannot test me. I know it clearly. I will not fall behind. I will cultivate diligently and strive for improvement.”
Free from the attachment of qing, I truly felt unrestrained. When my mother and I were sending righteous thoughts at noon one day, Master bestowed upon me a tall, bright gong column that allowed me to freely roam in the cosmos. On an impulse I asked, “Master, can I glance at my paradise?”
Suddenly, I passed through numerous dimensions and reached my paradise. Since I only asked for just a glance, I did not dare to stay there any longer and quickly returned to this human world. I enlightened that Master was encouraging me to cultivate diligently as this was the evolved process of cultivation to consummation.
One day at group Fa study, I saw, at my level, Master giving us a big bowl full of water and together we were carefully holding it over our heads. I enlightened that every practitioner must keep the Fa study site pure and clean.
Dafa practitioners must strictly follow the standards of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to cultivate their thoughts and completely eliminate any old-force arrangements. They should never try to protect the low level beings' principles and forget their true selves. Every Dafa disciple must treat the Fa seriously. They would be truly respecting life if they gave serious thought to their great mission.
Master taught us,
“Having said this much, I’m thinking this matter is just incredibly serious! It is so serious, yet many people are not treating it seriously. That’s notably so for some veteran Dafa disciples. Has it occurred to you that everything in your daily life is part of cultivation? Your every word and action, and everything you do—all of it is part of your cultivation. Dafa practitioners are constantly purifying themselves as they assist Master to rectify the Fa. I have also gradually eliminated the attachments of affection and desire and slowly realized the goodness of Dafa.
For a period of time, I could feel that my whole body was as clear as a piece of glass when I was practicing the exercises. I often felt myself being cleansed, purified, and uplifted by Master and Dafa. I sometimes felt my body in another dimension slowly rising up and leaving my human body in this world. At that stage, I could understand the essence of things in this world.
Nothing in the Fa, regardless of its size, happens by chance. The attachments of human notions sometimes appear without our being aware of them. We should take it seriously and carry out Dafa projects based on the standards of the Fa at our individual levels.
On one occasion as I was helping a fellow practitioner who had sickness karma, another practitioner sitting behind me firmly said, “We negate any arrangement of the old forces!” At that moment, I saw a Law Wheel fly out of her mouth toward a bad being in the ill practitioner's dimension. That bad being was immediately eliminated. That experience enlightened me that purifying oneself and improving in cultivation are what can guarantee the success of every Dafa project.
In these years that I have assisted Master to rectify the Fa, I have truly realized the constant sublimation of my life, the elevation of my xinxing, and my continuous breakthroughs in cultivation levels. My true soul can travel through other dimensions and return in the blink of an eye when I am meditating.
Master is great and so is Dafa. I have learned the meaning of life from what Master said in “Firmament.” He let me see a scene where human life was very backward. He also let me know that I am still so far from the High Level of the Fa.
Master said, “Life is so abundant and complex that it will forever remain an eternal enigma to mankind.” (“Firmament,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
Compassionate Master has forgiven me for my past mistakes and allowed me to enlighten to connotations of the boundless Fa. I will cultivate diligently and follow our great Master home.
