(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 2 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention.

1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Wenzhi Sentenced to Four-and-a-Half-Year Prison Term

1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Wenzhi Sentenced to Four-and-a-Half-Year Prison Term

Mr. Gao Wenzhi, 71, from Daochi Village, Beigang Town, the Longgang District, was arrested at home by Beigang Border Police Station officers on June 23, 2017.

Mr. Gao was tried in the Longgang District Court on December 5, 2017, and sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

His relatives and friends went to the Huludao City Detention Center to visit him on the morning of February 26, 2018, but detention center officials did not let them see him.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Guo Dongxiang's Case Turned Over to Procuratorate and Court

Ms. Guo Dongxiang from the Chaoyang District was reported to the authorities for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on November 3, 2017. She was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Xiaoguan Police Station

Ms. Guo was detained on November 4. Her case was turned over to the Procuratorate in mid-January 2018 and then to the Chaoyang District Court in mid-February.

3. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Hu Xiaoyun's Case Turned Over to Court

Ms. Hu Xiaoyun was arrested by officers from the Train Station Police Station in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, on September 26, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong on the train. She has been held in the Railway Police Department's Detention Center.

Her case has been turned over to the Guangzhou No. 1 Railway Transportation Court.
