1. [Shanghai] Mr. Ding Yuguo Sentence Upheld

Mr. Ding Yuguo was deprived of his legal right to hire a lawyer for his appeal case, by the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate Court. His family was recently notified that his sentence has been upheld.

2. [Shanghai] Mr. Deng Chenglian's Arrest Approved

Mr. Deng Chenglian was arrested at his home and taken to a detention center on April 23, 2018. His arrest was approved by the local Procuratorate.

3. [Oroqen, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Lei Xiuhua Tried

Ms. Lei Xiuhua was arrested at her shoe store by officers from the Qiaodong Police Station in Dayangshu Town on November 21, 2017. She was taken to the Hailar Detention Center.

Ms. Lei was tried by the Oroqen Intermediate Court on March 15, 2018.

4. [Beijing] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners were arrested at Ms. Sun Zhongfang's home by over 20 plainclothes officers from the Majiabao Police Station on May 8, 2018. The arrested practitioners included Ms. Sun Zhongfang, Ms. Xu Xiuzhen, Ms. Guo Meiying, Ms. Li Xiurong, Ms. Ran Yuexia, Ms. Zhang Shuhua, and Ms. Wang.

They were all taken to the Fengtai Police Department.

Ms. Sun, Ms. Xu, Ms. Guo, Ms. Li, Ms. Ran, and Ms. Wang, all in their 70s, were released the next morning. Ms. Zhang Shuhua, 68, was taken to the Fengtai Detention Center for ten days.

5. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Dong Yichang Detained

Mr. Dong Yichang was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on May 10, 2018. He is being held in the Wujing Detention Center, Linqu County.

6. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Hongying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xu Hongying was arrested at her home by plainclothes officers from the Liujiayao Police Station on May 11, 2018. She is being held in the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center.

7. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Laixiang's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Laixiang was arrested by officers from the Tanfang Town Police Station on May 8, 2018. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Qingdaon City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Lina Sentenced

Ms. Zhao Lina was arrested by officers from the Xihaian Police Station on November 14, 2016. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan by the Kaifa District Court on May 8, 2018.

Ms. Zhao has been held in the Pudong Detention Center.

9. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Cai Chunpeng Arrested

Mr. Cai Chunpeng was sentenced to an 18-month prison term by the Chenghai Court. He was taken to Sihui Prison in Guangzhou City on April 23, 2018.

10. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Xia Sentenced

Ms. Liu Xia was recently sentenced to a four-year prison term.

11. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Bingrui Arrested

Mr. Liu Bingrui was arrested by officers from the Guiyang County 610 Office and Chenzhou City 610 Office on May 9, 2018. He was taken to a brainwashing center in the Xiameiqiao Residential District.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tao Yuzhen's Sentence Upheld

Ms. Tao Yuzhen was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term by the Ganjingzi District Court. She appealed, but the intermediate court recently upheld the original verdict.

Ms. Tao was scheduled to be taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison.

13. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Gao Chenxuan Detained

Ms. Gao Chenxuan was arrested by the police for hanging up informational banners about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Wuhua Detention Center.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liang Zhihong Sentenced

Ms. Liang Zhihong was recently sentenced to a one-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan.

15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Lanying in Custody

Ms. Zhu Lanying was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Donghu Police Station on May 10, 2018, for posting informational stickers about Falun Gong. She is being held in the police station.

16. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Dai Shubao Taken to Prison

Mr. Dai Shubao was forced to leave home to avoid harassment by the authorities many years ago. He was arrested by officers from the Liaozhong District Domestic Security Division on December 13, 2016, and was sentenced to a seven-and-a-half-year prison term by the Liaozhong District Court on September 11, 2017.

Mr. Dai was taken to the Shenyang No. 1 Prison on April 26, 2018.
