1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hong Guimei and Mr. Dou Yansheng Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Hong Guimei and Mr. Dou Yansheng, from Changqing Garden, Dongxihu District, were each sentenced to two years in prison.

2. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xu Tong's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Xu Tong, a teacher at the Zhanjiang City No. 17 Middle School, was arrested on the evening of August 6, 2018 for making phone calls to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked, a computer and Falun Gong informational materials were confiscated. His whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Ma Lizhi from Jing County was detained for five days. Ms. Chen Lan from Jing County was detained for 10 days. Ms. Wu Xiuping is still detained in the Hengshui City Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Dayu from Sun Town, Jing County, was arrested for talking to others about Falun Gong over the internet. She has been held in the Jing County Detention Center for almost a year.

4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Du Zhaocai and Wife Ms. Wu Ruifang Detained

Mr. Du Zhaocai, 49, and his wife Ms. Wu Ruifang, 48, from Hongwei Village, Jiaolai Town, Jiaozhou City, were arrested by officers from the Jiaolai Town Police Station on August 8, 2018. They were taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

5. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Sun Renzhi Taken to Prison

Mr. Sun Renzhi was taken to the Wumaping Prison, Leshan City, on the morning of August 9, 2018.

6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Zhixue Detained

Ms. Wu Zhixue, in her 60s, was arrested by officers from the Zhihe Police Station, Chuanying District, on the evening of July 13, 2018. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, some currency, and paper currency with Falun Gong facts printed on them. Ms. Wu was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

7. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Guihua Arrested

Ms. Zhao Guihua from Liuhe County was arrested at home by officers on August 8, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

8. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Xian'e Arrested

Ms. Tang Xian'e was arrested at the Shenzhen West Railway Station for having with her Falun Gong books and informational materials about that cultivation practice when she was going to take a train from Shenzhen West to Hengyang City on the evening of August 4, 2018. She was taken into custody by the Shenzhen West Railway Station Police Station.

9. [Xinle City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Du Shumin, 67, Ms. Wu Cuijuan, 41, and Ms. Li Xiuyun, 58, from Qutou Village, Hantai Town, were reported for distributing Falun Gong materials in Xiazhaipu Village, Pengjiazhuang Town, on August 7, 2018. They were arrested by officers from the Pengjiazhuang Town Police Station. Ms. Wu and Ms. Li were taken to the Zhengding County Detention Center. Ms. Du was released because of high blood pressure.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Kuihua Arrested

Ms. Ma Kuihua from Zhucheng City was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by the Zhucheng police.

11. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Ruiping and Husband Mr. Gao Xiukai Arrested

Ms. Wang Ruiping and her husband Mr. Gao Xiukai, from Hancun Township were arrested by officers from the Hancun Township Police Station and the county Domestic Security Division on August 8, 2018. Mr. Gao was released because of high blood pressure. Ms. Wang was detained.

Ms. Wang Caixia and Ms. Chen from Tiexi District were arrested by officers from the Gongrencun Police Station for distributing Falun Gong materials on the afternoon of August 8, 2018.

15. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Fei Facing Trial

Mr. Wang Fei was arrested by officers from the Hongshan District Police Department on January 31, 2018. It was reported that the Hongshan District Court has scheduled his trial for August 22.
