(Minghui.org) Ms. Chu Lianping, a Falun Gong practitioner from Qingdao City, Shandong Province, was arrested on June 8, 2018. She is being detained in the Qingdao Pudong Detention Center. Her arrest was approved by the procuratorate last month.
Ms. Chu's 30-year-old autistic son asks for his mother every day.
Ms. Chu, 62, is a retiree. Nine police officers from the Jinmen Road Police Station broke into her home on June 8, 2018, and took her to the police station. They confiscated her personal belongings as well. She was sent to Pudong Detention Center the next day.
Ms. Chu's family members went to the police station many times to seek her release. They told the police about her son's situation: he had the mental age of a child and asked for his mother every day. Deputy Director Jiao (given name unknown), who led the operation of Ms. Chu's arrest, promised to release her on July 13. However, it did not happen, and her family learned on July 17 that her arrest was approved.
Ms. Chu follows Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in her life and is kind to others. She takes care of her mother meticulously, including her food, clothes and daily life. She also looks after her son patiently and resolved many family conflicts with her kindness and patience.
Ms. Chu worked in the Qingdao Vocational and Technical College of Hotel Management College before she retired. She worked diligently and conscientiously. When she worked as a warehouse manager, she dealt with office supply and daily necessities. However, she neither took anything home nor accepted any bribes from suppliers. She was recognized as an excellent employee among her coworkers.
