Case Dismissed after I Urge the Police to Stop Persecuting Falun Dafa

Oct. 9, 2019 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Beijing, China

(Minghui.org) I was arrested in July 2018 and taken to a detention center after I was reported for talking to people about the Chinese communist regime's persecution of Falun Dafa since 1999.

While I was in detention, I always reminded myself to maintain righteous thoughts and righteous actions. I treated all the police officers and detainees with compassion and explained to them why the persecution is wrong and had no legal basis.

Thirty days later, I was released on bail and the police never came back to harass me.

At the end of May 2019, the officer in charge of my case told me to go to the local police station to answer some simple questions. He said, “You’ve been out on bail for almost a year now. According to our procedures, we can either dismiss your case or submit it to the procuratorate.”

I thought to myself, “I can't allow them to submit my case to the procuratorate and I would never acknowledge the arrangement by the old forces.”

I also realized that I should further clarify the truth to the police and other related departments. Other fellow practitioners also encouraged me to do so.

I went to the police station twice and talked to two police chiefs. They both accepted my letters, in which I wrote about how I benefited from practicing Falun Dafa and how I live by the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

I also wrote that Falun Dafa has been introduced to and celebrated in over 80 countries and that many of the perpetrators in the persecution have been sued for what they’ve done. I urged the police not to take part in the persecution, that “what goes around comes around.”

The police chiefs told me that the decisions regarding detention and bail were made by the police department and that it was not easy to find those officers in charge or talk to them face to face.

I didn't give up. The third time when I went to the police station, I asked an officer to help me deliver my letters to his colleagues in the department.

He looked at my two thick envelopes and took them. I included information about how the persecution violates the law.

After the officers read my letters, they were surprised to learn that practicing Falun Dafa is totally legal in China. The officers kept them for their future reference.

I continued to clarify the truth to more people and remained diligent in my Fa study and sending righteous thoughts.

In August, the officer in charge of my case called and asked me to come see him. He handed me a document and said, “Your case has been closed. You are now free.” He sent me off with a smile.

I knew that they fully understood that Falun Dafa is good and that Falun Dafa practitioners are good people.

Master said:

“Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos’s Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples’ rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings’ thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that’s how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness.” (“Also in a Few Words,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Thank you, Master; my fellow practitioners; my family and my friends; and also the police officers who helped me.
