(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

9. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Huilan and Ms. Gao Qifen Detained

1. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Fengqin Sentenced to Prison; Ms. Guo Meiying Tried

Ms. Ma Fengqing was arrested at Zizhuyuan Park in the autumn of 2017. She has been sentenced to an eight-year prison tern.

Ms. Guo Meiying, 79, was arrested in May 2019 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was taken to a detention center but was not accepted due to high blood pressure. She was allowed to return home. Her case was turned over to the Dongcheng District Court in October, and she was tried on the morning of October 24.

2. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Chuanhou and Six Other Practitioners Transferred to Undisclosed Locations

Mr. Yang Chuanhou and six other practitioners were being held in the Anda Detention Center but were transferred to undisclosed locations on October 29, 2019. Their whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Shuxue and Mr. Ma Wanling Officially Arrested

Ms. Lu Shuxue and Mr. Ma Wanlin have been officially placed under arrest. Their cases were turned over to the Arrest Warrant Section in the Yinchuan District Procuratorate on October 19, 2019.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhen and Ms. Wei Dehui Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhen, 76, who lives in the Weichai Dormitory in the Kuiwen District, was arrested on the morning of October 31, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Ershilipu Police Station.

The door to her home was pried open that afternoon by officer Gu Zhiyong and others from the Kuiwen Domestic Security Division. They subsequently called in the riot police, fire trucks, and cranes. They also threatened to take her family to the police station.

Ms. Wei Dehui also had the door to her home pried open by the police. They pushed her to down and ransacked the place. Photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, and copies of Minghui Weekly were confiscated.

Ms. Wei was handcuffed and pushed into a police car. She was taken to the Nanguan Police Station, where officers photographed her and took her fingerprints and footprints. Ms. Wei returned home that evening, only to learn that the police had demanded 300 yuan in cash from her son.

5. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Xian and Han Arrested

Practitioners with the surnames Xia and Han from the Xiezuo Residential Community, Gudao Town, were arrested by officers from the Hekou District Domestic Security Division on October 30, 2019. Xia was released later that day.

6. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Tang Juzhang Missing

Ms. Tang Juzhang has been missing since October 28, 2019.

7. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tao Yonghong Arrested

Ms. Tao Yonghong was arrested on the morning of October 30, 2019, and taken to the Railway Police Station at the Maoming Train Station. The police ransacked her home that afternoon.

8. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Liu Shuling’s Home Ransacked

Seven officers from the Changzheng Police Station ransacked Ms. Liu Shuling’s home on the afternoon of October 30, 2019. They confiscated her printing equipment and forced her to sign their paperwork.

Ms. Liu had to leave home early the next morning.

9. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Huilan and Ms. Gao Qifen Detained

Ms. Zhang Huilan and Ms. Gao Qifen were reported to the police on the morning of September 26, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were arrested, and taken to the Qunzhonglu Detention Center later that day.

Ms. Zhang was released on October 7. Ms. Gao remains in custody.
