(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhao and Ms. Yang Lihua Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wang Zhao from Beile, Jinzhou District, and his mother-in-law, Ms. Yang Lihua, were arrested by officers from Jinzhou Domestic Security Division on August 28, 2018. Mr. Wang was taken to Sanli Detention Center in Jinzhou. Ms. Yang was taken to Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian. They were both tried in Jinzhou Court.

Mr. Wang was sentenced to a three-year prison term, and is incarcerated in Dongling Prison, Shenyan.

Ms. Yang was sentenced to a three-year-and-seven-month prison term. Her situation is unknown.

2. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Song Jianping and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Song Jianping and her mother were arrested by police officers on December 5, 2019.

3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Li Xiuzhen from Xichangshou Village, Xinle County was arrested by officers from Matoupu Village Police Station on the afternoon of November 13, 2019, after being reported to the authorities for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Li has been held in Shijiazhuang Second Detention center since then. Her being detained has exceeded the two month limitation by law.

4. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Persecution Against Ms. Yu Shurong and Ms. Pei Shuxian

Ms. Yu Shurong was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term.

Ms. Pei Shuxian was taken to a prison last week.

5. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Ms. Han Ruiping and Mr. Wang Zhenhua Detained

Ms. Han Ruiping and Mr. Wang Zhenhua from Wuyang County were arrested by officers from Ludian Township Police Station on the afternoon of September 11, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Ludian, Xiping County.

They are being held in Zhumadian Detention Center.

6. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners from Bawanggou Village, Nankouqian Town, Qingyuan County were arrested by officers from Nankouqian Police Station on the evening of December 4, 2019, when they were studying Zhuan Falun together in the home of Mr. Du Peizhi, 74, and his wife Ms. Wang Yugui, 70. 

The practitioners arrested are: Mr. Zhao Minggui, 71, Mr. Yu Huicai, 76, Ms. Jia Changling, Ms. Qi Yunxia, Mr. Du and Ms. Wang.

The officers ransacked the place, and then went to each practitioner’s home, ransacked it, and confiscated their personal belongings. The six practitioners were taken to the police station, and interrogated separately.

Mr. Zhao, Mr. Yu, Mr. Du, and Ms. Wang were released in the early hours of the next day. Ms. Jia and Ms. Qi were taken to Fushun City Detention Center for 13 days administrative detention.

7. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Xiuqiong Arrested and Tortured

Ms. Yang Xiuqiong from the Liyang Factory in Pingba District were arrested by two plainclothes officers on December 3, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to Liuguan Police Station, and put in a metal cage.

Ms. Yang was later taken to Xixiu District Police Department, where she forcibly had her fingerprints taken, and blood withdrawn without her consent. She was later released.

8. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Shuda Detained

Ms. Li Shuda from Beisijiazi Township was arrested at home by officers from Chaoyang County Police Department and Beisijiazi Police Station on November 20, 2019. Her home was ransacked, and personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Li is being held in Chaoyang City Detention Center.

9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yu Zhenguo and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Yu Zhenguo and his wife from the Third Subsidiary Farm, Hongqi Farm were arrested by officers from Qianguo County Police Department and Jilatu Township Police Station on the morning of September 10, 2019. Their home was ransacked.

The couple was taken to the police station, and later released.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Liang Yuping Arrested

Ms. Liang Yuping from Xiawuqi, Wuqing District ran into a plainclothes officer on December 5, 2019. She talked to him about the persecution of Falun Gong, and was arrested. Her home was ransacked.

She was released on bail after the police extorted 5,000 yuan from her.
