Two Practitioners in Sichuan Province Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

April 7, 2019 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Sichuan Province, China

(Minghui.org) Two Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Zhou Mozhen and Ms. Luo Xuemei, from Gulin County in Sichuan Province were arrested and taken to the No. 2 Detention Center in Zunyi City.

Their families were not allowed to visit them, nor were they given any information regarding their situation. It has been learned that they were each sentenced to three years in prison.

The two women were reported to police when they talked to people about Falun Dafa at Gangtie Village, Xingmin Township, Xishi County in June 2018. When officers arrived from the Xingmin Township Police Station, the two practitioners told them that they were within their legal rights to practice Falun Gong and distribute information about the spiritual practice and its persecution by the communist regime. Their plea was unsuccessful.

The detention center would not allow either Ms. Zhou's or Ms. Lou's family to visit them or bring them daily necessities or clothes. They were allowed to bring them money, but the detention center would not provide a receipt.

Their families were not given any information about their loved ones' situations and only learned second-hand on October 19, 2018 that the two practitioners had been sentenced.
