(Minghui.org) In a normal society, prison is a place for incarcerating criminals. However, in today's China, hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are being imprisoned, simply because they believe in Falun Gong, a cultivation practice that advocates the principles of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
However, more and more people have learned what Falun Gong is all about, and know that practitioners are good people.
A woman was arrested for running a gambling site. She had a bad temper and a loud voice. It was as if she was fighting with someone even when she talked to people about normal things. This woman was later transferred to the ward where a practitioner was held.
A guard said to the the practitioner: “We will ask her to sit next to you. I want you to influence her with 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance'. You don't have to talk to her.”
The practitioner told the woman about Falun Gong and helped her quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Her temper improved, and she was later transferred to another ward.
It was approaching winter time when a practitioner was held in the local detention center in northern China.
A guard called the practitioner's name one day while everyone was watching television. She asked the practitioner, “Do you have cotton-padded clothes?”
The other detainees looked at the practitioner in surprise.
There was a rule in the detention center that detainees are not allowed to wear their own clothes. They have to pay for the uniform they wear in the detention center. A set of cotton-padded clothes would cost about 300 yuan.
This guard bought cotton-padded clothes for the practitioner last year. This practitioner later was transferred to another ward. The guard was apparently worried that she didn't have winter clothes.
A woman was transferred to the practitioner's ward. She had high blood pressure, which remained high even after taking medicine.
A guard told a practitioner to tell this woman: “I will put her next to you. You need to talk to her.”
The practitioner thought that this was a really good opportunity to talk to her about Falun Gong and the persecution.
The position where detainees sit is fixed. Once it has been arranged, no one is allowed to change it.
The practitioner told her about Falun Gong and helped her quit the CCP.
Two days later, a doctor took her blood pressure. After she came back, she was silent and didn't say a word.
The practitioner asked her if her blood pressure was alright. She said hesitantly: “My blood pressure is 127mmHg. But, when I was at home, my blood pressure remained 140mmHg, even though I took medicine every day.”
After two days, she was tested again and she told me that it was 120/80mm Hg.
The following morning, the guard asked her about her blood pressure and she told the guard that it was 120/80mm Hg. “Isn't that normal?” the guard said after listening to her.
