(Minghui.org) “I had an amazing experience at the Falun Gong exercise workshop!” shared Ms. Li after she attended the class on June 22, 2019 at the Fremont Main Library, in Fremont, California. In fact, she almost didn't attend the workshop, but was so happy she'd made that last-minute decision to go.

Ms. Li had purchased a ticket to fly to a foreign country for a meditation class, but she canceled her trip after her daughter had a dream in which she saw her mother fall from the plane en route to that foreign country.
Ms. Li said her daughter urged her to change her plan because Ms. Li was the only passenger on the plane who fell to the ocean in her dream.
It just so happened that Ms. Li had received a flyer about the Falun Gong exercise workshop at the library and was debating whether to attend the workshop or the meditation class. Her daughter's dream helped her make the decision to attend the Falun Gong workshop instead.
Ms. Li said she'd always wondered about the purpose of life: We work so hard to make money but no matter how wealthy we are we can’t take it with us when we die. Why are we here?
She'd seen a program on NTD Television and learned how people have benefited from practicing Falun Gong. She went online and found the Falun Dafa website where she found the class in Fremont. She also discovered all the teachings and the Falun Gong exercise videos, available for free.
During the class, Falun Gong practitioners helped Ms. Li correct some of her movements while she did the exercises. She said that when she did the exercises she often felt like crying, and sometimes her tears just flowed. “When I exercise here with others, the energy is stronger than when I do them at home. I will continue doing the exercises.”
Despite Falun Gong's great benefits and popularity, the practice has been brutally persecuted in China, its country of origin, by the Chinese government since 1999. Ms. Li said she never believed the Chinese Communist regime’s propaganda which defames Falun Gong. She explained that because her family were landowners in China before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) usurped power, they were targeted for persecution. The situation became even more difficult during and after the Cultural Revolution. “My grandparents were often singled out. Despite the threats and propaganda, I refused to believe the CCP. It’s rotten to the core!”
In China, one of her friends and a neighbor were Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Li knew them as very kind and moral people. Her neighbor sold tea and everyone bought from him. “Because he practiced Falun Gong he never lied. His family was very honest. In fact most people around me knew that Falun Gong practitioners are nice people.”
Even though Ms. Li thought highly of practitioners, she explained, “I never thought about practicing Falun Gong myself until I saw it on NTD TV. I felt great after I did the exercises and I recommended it others.” Ms. Li said that after reading the book Falun Gong, she had a clearer picture about the meaning of life.
Quite a few people attended the workshop at the library that day. Just like Ms. Li they said they also felt strong energy during the exercises and were very comfortable and relaxed. A 2-year-old told his mother that he saw a big Buddha on the video screen in the classroom.
Another workshop attendee, Amy had heard about Falun Gong before. Her coworker is a practitioner and is very healthy. “Unlike me – I have all sorts of pain,” she explained. Amy said that she felt good after learning the exercises. She added, “I'm curious about the practice. I will continue doing the exercises.”
Ms. Liang, from San Francisco, also attended the workshop. She was very happy with the class. “I felt the energy and was warm when I did the exercises,” she shared. Ms. Liang planned to purchase the exercise DVDs so that she can continue practicing at home. She is concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and about their human rights. She said, “One must pay attention and not to be fooled by the CCP’s propaganda.”
