(Minghui.org) Ms. Hu Jinping from Linyi City, Shandong Province, was illegally tried in the Hedong District Detention Center on June 11, 2019, for practicing Falun Gong.

More than ten of her relatives went to the detention center to attend the trial. However, the detention center only allowed three of them in, claiming that there were not enough seats. The relatives had to argue with the detention center staff to allow even three of them to attend. The judge refused to add more seats despite the relatives' repeated requests.

On September 29, 2018, Ms. Hu Jinping had just visited her sister, Ms. Hu Jinhui, when she was followed and arrested by plainclothes domestic security officers. Despite not having a search warrant, they ransacked her home.

Three other practitioners--her sister Ms. Hu Jinhui, Ms. Qian Jinhua, and Mr. Gong Maohai--were arrested the same day. They and Ms. Hu Jinping were all detained at the Hedong District Detention Center in Linyi City.

Ms. Qian Jinhua was charged by the Lanshan District Procuratorate on February 27, 2019. On April 30, she was tried ion the Lanshan District Court and sentenced to two years in prison.

Ms. Hu Jinhui was illegally tried at the Hedong District Detention Center on May 17. Her family and relatives were not notified until after the trial.

The sister's family stated that they will sue domestic security police officers Chu Yanshan, Liu Helei, and Zhu Bo for unlawful arrest and for unreasonable search without a warrant. The family will also sue Dong Jinwei and Wang Yugang from Lanshan District Procuratorate for the crimes of false accusation.
