(Minghui.org) Tourists from throughout the world come to sightsee in Hawaii. After I moved to Hawaii at the end of 2015, I went to the tourist sites to display factual information about Dafa, do the exercises, and talk to people about the practice.
Our Falun Dafa booth was located on a street with a lot of duty-free shops that sold luxury goods approved by the Hawaiian government. This is a “don’t-miss” area for Chinese tour groups. There are several large trees on an open space at the main entrance. That is where my display boards are set up, and almost anyone who enters or exits the duty-free shops can see it.
Tourists Admire My Courage
When I went to the site to clarify the truth one day, I noticed a middle-aged couple sitting on a bench and went over to talk to them. They said, “We saw you doing the exercises during the day and the many pictures in your display. You were alone, wearing a shirt that said 'Falun Dafa' on it. We really admire your courage!”
I told them that people have freedom of belief in Hawaii and that Falun Dafa has spread to more than 80 countries. I also told them it has received more than 3,000 awards, including from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, places where people can freely practice Falun Dafa.
“Only the Chinese regime persecutes Falun Dafa,” I continued. “Don't you think that's strange? Jiang Zemin’s persecution of Falun Dafa is a crime. He hijacked the entire state to persecute Falun Dafa and sanctioned the harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. That is a crime for which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is responsible.
“Having renounced one's membership in the CCP, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers will be important when the Party falls from power.” They accepted the Dafa informational materials and quit the Party.
The Truth Clarification Display Boards
Tourists took pictures of our display boards and of practitioners doing the exercises. An older couple stood next to me and following along with the second exercise to show their support. They asked their family to take a picture of them learning the exercises. Several times, tourists left a five or 20 dollar-bill next to me to show their support. I gave the money to the local Dafa association to cover some of the costs of making the materials.
Master said:
“At this critical moment, the behavior of sentient beings toward Fa-rectification is determining their future. In other words, amidst the Fa-rectification, all beings are being tested and repositioned, including being weeded out.” (Touring North America to Teach the Fa)
There were also Chinese tourists who immediately understood the truth after they read the information on the display boards and quit the Party. The display boards are very intuitive and play an important role in clarifying the truth at tourist sites.
Chinese Tourists Understand the Truth
When I went to a scenic site to distribute Dafa fliers, there were five Chinese tourists who looked to be over 50. I said to them, “Friends, here is free information in Chinese!” and held out a brochure. The person in the lead did not take it. Another person came over and took it and said to his colleague to take it and read it later. One person walked away.
I took this opportunity to encourage them to quit the Pary. The person who encouraged the others to take the brochures said that he was not a CCP member. When I asked him if he had ever joined the Youth League and worn a red scarf, he said he did. I offered him a nickname, and he agreed to quit. Two more people also quit the Party. Then he asked me to talk to the person who led the group about quitting.
I ran over to their leader and explained to him that the CCP was guilty of corruption, killing, and the harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners against their will.
“It is a universal law that ‘Good will be rewarded, and evil will be punished.’ Heaven is going to destroy the CCP, so quitting it can save your life.” He also quit the CCP using a pseudonym and accepted Dafa fliers.
Master said:
“After agreeing to do so, these people no longer resist the facts that you tell them [about Falun Gong]. But why the change? It’s because they are no longer controlled by the specter. If the specter did try to control them, divine beings would annihilate it. So that explains why things go better when you clarify the facts to people after they have withdrawn from the Party.” (“2018 Fa Teaching Given in Washington, D.C.”)
I work in a college cafeteria. After getting off the bus on the way to work, I have to walk another 10 minutes. During that time, college students from many different countries are walking around on campus. I take this opportunity to hand out truth-clarification materials. Sometimes, I also come across Chinese students or Chinese tourists. I talk to them about Dafa and encourage them to quit the Party.
When there was a heavy rain one day, I took a bus. I heard several Chinese children joking and took a seat next to one of the girls. I told them the facts about Dafa and persuaded six or seven of them to quit the Party.
A girl said, “Ma’am, the boy looking at his cell phone by the window is also with us. He hasn't quit the Party. Go talk to him.” After I talked to him, he quit the Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
At the bus stop I met an Italian-American man who managed a restaurant. He didn't usually take the bus. I thought he was there to hear the facts, so I gave him the English-language version of information about the CCP's live organ harvesting. I opened the brochure, pointed at the pictures, and explained in the few words I knew: “Falun Dafa is good.” I pointed to the picture and said, “In China, the CCP is killing Dafa practitioners. We came here from China to tell people the truth about Dafa and the persecution.” He understood.
Soon after that, he went to Germany and was given some Dafa materials. On his return he gave them to me and suggested that I could give them to other people.
I have been making phone calls on the rescue platform for almost three years. I call police officers in China in the evenings. The time difference between Hawaii and China is 18 hours. So I make calls on the rescue platform from 2:00 to 4:00 a.m., which corresponds to 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in China
I needed to adjust my sleep cycle. This required strong perseverance to overcome the sleep demon. It seems that 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. is the best time for people to sleep. For me, however, it is the best time to clarify the truth to people in the police system in China. At first, I fell asleep after a few calls or fell asleep at 6:00 a.m. when it was time to send forth righteous thoughts.
I don’t know how many times Master awakened me from sleep. Along with a big “thump” sound, a heavy stick hit the top of my head, and I woke up instantly. The heavy stick was inflated, like a balloon. It felt very hard, but it didn't hurt. I gradually broke through the interference of the sleep demon.
During the past three years, I worked on the rescue platform to make phone calls, clarify the truth, and stop the persecution. Many people have learned the truth and are no longer involved in the persecution. I called a deputy head of a police station. When I first called him, he cursed loudly, but I continued to tell him the truth. Later, he understood it. Afterward, when he had to carry out an arrest order, he protected Dafa practitioners. There was also police chief who, after listening to the truth, quit the CCP and said that he would not participate in the persecution of Falun Gong anymore.
There was another police chief who misunderstood Dafa. One of his relatives who is a Falun Gong practitioner told him not to arrest practitioners. He said that he would arrest them if someone reported them to him, and he was not willing to quit the CCP. He asked me, “Can you tell me if your Master is a human or a god?” I did not answer him directly. I said that when Jesus came to save people, he did not fly up into the sky! When Sakyamuni came to teach his Dharma, he did not have a body of shining gold! They all appear as ordinary human beings in the world to spread their Fa and save sentient beings. He seemed to understand and agreed to quit the CCP. His wife also asked for information about filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong.
Master said:
“Don't overlook any of the things that Dafa disciples do. Your every word, every flyer, every keystroke, every telephone call, and every letter is having a huge impact. Beings that have come to understand the facts become mobile media, and they too clarify the facts.
