(Minghui.org) When I was visiting a practitioner's home in another city in October 2017, the police broke in and illegally arrested us. I was detained for five days. During that time, the local 610 Office pressured my school to fire me from my teaching position.
During the process, several school officials who understand the facts about Falun Gong helped me and resisted the persecution, and with Master's protection, I kept my job.
About two weeks after I was released, our school Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary brought me to the principal's office. Two women were there, who introduced themselves as officials from the local 610 Office.
Four of us went to a meeting room. One of the officials asked me questions while the other videotaped me. They asked me about my detention two weeks before, and if I had been to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong or filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin [the former Chinese leader who initiated the persecution].
I did not answer their questions, but instead clarified the facts about Falun Gong and explained to them why I persisted in the practice. While talking to them, however, I became anxious. I lost my composure and couldn't stop crying. They saw that the conversation was going nowhere and left.
Our Party secretary stayed with me. She told me that she'd talked with the two women before calling me to the office. She told them that I was a good person and that I did very well at my job. Our principal told them the same about me as well. She comforted me and expressed her support for me.
A week later, an official from the 610 Office called a member of the top management at my husband's workplace. They ordered my husband to accompany me to the 610 Office. They threatened my husband that I would lose my job if I did not go. I refused to go, but my husband was afraid of the consequences and forced me to go with him.
When we arrived at the 610 Office, the director took out a guarantee statement and ordered me to sign. I refused.
I became very nervous. My face was pale. My hands were cold. My husband helped me lie down on the sofa.
I kept sending forth righteous thoughts and recited Master's teaching:
“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)
“The falun will protect those who genuinely do our practice. My roots are planted in this universe, and so someone would have to be able to harm me in order to harm you, which means that they would have to have the power to harm this universe.” (The First Talk, Zhuan Falun)
The 610 Office officials panicked in response to my medical episode and wanted to call an ambulance. But my husband stopped them.
While I was lying on the sofa, the director took my husband to another room and showed him my lawsuits against Jiang Zemin and told him about my clarifying the facts to my students. They tried to use this as evidence to justify persecuting me.
Upon returning home, I called my principal and told him what happened. He supported me for not signing the guarantee statement and asked me to take a few days off to recover.
When I returned to work a few days later, the principal comforted me. I was truly touched by the righteous support.
But the 610 Office didn't give up on their plan to persecute me. They called my husband repeatedly and urged him to come with me to sign the guarantee statement. My husband used my health condition as the reason to refuse them.
I realized that my lack of compassion toward the director and not clarifying the truth to her caused her to repeatedly harass me. I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear the hatred in my heart and looked for opportunities to talk to her.
I called her office one day and kindly talked to her. She was polite at the beginning but quickly lost patience. She became irritated and hung up on me.
Two days later, my husband's manager told him that the Party secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the director of the 610 Office had talked to him. They wanted to report me to even higher-up officials. But my husband's manager told them not to do so – it turned out he had relatives practicing Falun Gong and knew the truth very well. He suggested that my husband talk to the director of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and prevent them from doing anything to harm me.
In the next few months, my husband and I talked several times to the directors at the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the 610 Office, and the Discipline Inspection Commission. I told them that Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries around the world and has brought tremendous benefits to people wherever it is practiced.
After the people in these agencies understood the facts, my case was eventually dismissed.
I retired at the end of this semester. The principal praised my performance at the end-of-semester meeting.
Our principal was also rewarded for his kindness. The school has been very successful and is among the top schools for its test scores in our area.
