Two Falun Gong Practitioners Have Their Fingerprints Taken and Blood Drawn Against Their Will

Sept. 15, 2019 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Chongqing, China

(Minghui.org) Two women in Chongqing had their homes ransacked and fingerprints and blood samples taken after someone reported them for giving out fliers with information about Falun Gong, a spiritual practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since July 1999.

It has been reported that Falun Gong practitioners are a major source of organs for transplants, and that when they are arrested, their blood samples are often taken to be matched in a database. The Chinese regime has sold their organs for profit. The organs of many practitioners were removed against their will while they were still alive.

Ms. Liu Changxiu, 76, was having lunch on August 22, 2019, when three police officers and two local officials showed up at her house. They told her that she had been spotted giving out Falun Gong fliers at a local farmers' market that morning.

Ms. Liu refused to go to the police station because she hadn't broken any law by distributing Falun Gong fliers, so the police had to carry her downstairs to their car. They also confiscated her Falun Gong literature.

At the Tongyuanju Police Station, two officers took a sample of Ms. Liu’s blood, her fingerprints, and a photograph. Ms. Liu refused to answer questions during the interrogation. They released her that evening.

The next morning, August 23, five police officers broke into Ms. Zhou Liangrong’s home. They accused Ms. Zhou, 75, of distributing Falun Gong fliers with Ms. Liu the day before. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and materials.

One of the officers scolded her for using her Chinese Communist Party (CCP) retirement income to produce Falun Gong informational materials and protest the CCP.

Ms. Zhou replied that she had earned her pension benefits through years of hard work and that it was her right to decide how to use the money. She urged the police to stop following the CCP to persecute innocent people who just strive to be good by living by Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Ms. Zhou was taken to Huangjueya Police Station around noon. The police took her height, a blood sample, and fingerprints before releasing her that afternoon.
