Negating the Old Forces: Walking on the Path Arranged by Master

(Minghui.org) Fellow Falun Dafa practitioners often shared with those who were experiencing sickness karma that they should send forth righteous thoughts more and negate the arrangements made by the old forces in their minds.

I believe that there are additional ways to negate the old forces.

Some practitioners agreed and said that continuing to do the three things is a way to negate the old forces’ arrangement because their purpose is to prevent Dafa disciples from doing the three things, and assimilating to the principlesof the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

One practitioner was once detained for 30 days. Later when I asked how he felt while in the detention center, he said that he was so busy that it felt like a short time.

This answer surprised me because many practitioners released from detention facilities said the time in detention was hard to bear. So I asked what he did, and why he had such a different feeling.

He said he recited the Fa daily, did the exercises, and sent forth righteous thoughts every day. After this, he clarified the truth to the inmates.

“Usually,” he said, “I could only talk to a few of the inmates and persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations in a day. I never neglected to do this daily. Thirty days passed like the blink of an eye.”

His answer was simple, but when I related it to what I had observed when watching this practitioner, I had a better understanding.

From my observation, he has little desire for food. To him, eating was just something necessary so that he could do the three things. He is not stingy at all. When a material production site needed money, he would donate 10,000 yuan or 20,000 yuan at a time.

He doesn’t pursue a high living standard, nor does he seek hardship. Thus, when he was detained, he was not longing for a comfortable life at home, and didn’t find the life in the detention center hard to bear.

Once we shared about how long we could meditate with both legs crossed. He said that he felt pain after he sat for a long time. “But, I think,” he said, “I can sit longer than one hour, maybe one night, maybe a whole day. The only obstacle is pain, and there is no other way to avoid it. You just bear it.”

After being released, he soon started clarifying the truth again to strangers on the street.

After sharing a few times with this practitioner, I found three reasons why he did not seek hardship intentionally. One, he followed the Fa in day to day life, and doesn’t pursue comfort like ordinary people. Two, he focused on doing the three things well all the time. And three, he could bear hardship.

Because of these three points, the arrangement by the old forces to persecute him didn’t succeed. I learned from his experience that we can negate the old forces’ interference by following what is required of a practitioner, and walk on the path arranged by Master.

Master had talked about the old forces and explained why they arranged this persecution. I think Master wanted practitioners to understand the real situation and recognize the truth behind any deceptive phenomenon, and not be fooled by human notions and desires.
