Three Shandong Residents Face Indictment for Passing Out Information About Their Faith

(Minghui.org) Three Cao County, Shandong Province residents in their 60s are facing indictment for their faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Zhu Wenlan, Ms. Zhu Cuilan (no relation to Ms. Zhu Wenlan) and Ms. Huang Jiuhan were arrested in mid-August 2019 while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

The police have submitted their cases to Cao County Procuratorate.

The practitioners are currently held incommunicado at the local detention center, which didn't allow their families to send in clothes and only accepts deposits to their commissary accounts.

Ms. Zhu Wenlan, a retiree of Cao County Chinese Medicine Hospital, has been arrested and forced to pay fines several times for her faith. She also served more than one year of forced labor.

Ms. Zhu Cuilan, who used to suffer several chronic diseases recovered less than a month after she took up Falun Gong. She was arrested and given more than one year of forced labor for seeking justice for a detained practitioner.

Ms. Huang, who used to work at a fish farm, was forced to pay fines and detained for a few months after she was arrested for appealing for the right to practice Falun Gong.
