The Illusion of Virus Symptoms Disappeared When I Strengthened My Righteous Thoughts

Feb. 8, 2020 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) The world's people are closely watching the progress of the coronavirus epidemic. As practitioners, however, if we're too attached to this it may bring us some trouble. I wanted to tell you about my recent experience so you won't make the same mistake I did.

Right before the Chinese New Year an elderly woman sat down next to me on the bus. She kept coughing. I immediately thought: “Please don’t let me get the virus.”

My wrong thought was taken advantage of by the old forces. The day before Chinese New Year I was very busy cooking for my family. That evening I suddenly felt very unwell. I developed a fever and my temperature rose. I felt weak and began coughing. I was alerted by this illusion of being “sick,” and sent righteous thoughts to negate the old forces’ arrangement.

Master said,

“The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts.” (“Drive Out Interference,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Even though I felt “sick,” the following day I did the exercises. On day three, my fever disappeared, though the other symptoms persisted. On day five, all the illness symptoms disappeared and I felt fine. I appreciated Master for his benevolent saving grace. Under his protection I was able to break through it.

If this happened to an ordinary person, they would be terrified and think they had contracted the coronavirus!

After this happened I looked inward to identify my loopholes. I realized that I still had the attachment of not being able to accept criticism, as well as sentimentality towards my children. I want to eliminate these attachments. This incident showed me that I need to be more strict with myself and genuinely cultivate. No matter what I encounter I need to maintain righteous thoughts.

I wanted like to share my story and alert other practitioners who may have the same notions.
